That’s a very common mistake among many fighters.

❌How exactly do they expose their chins?
1️⃣ by leaning forward and pulling their head in with the jab
2️⃣ by lifting their chin
3️⃣ a lot of fighters just forget to cover their face at the moment when the other hand is preparing to punch.

✅ How to get rid of this problem?
Have a trainer throw a hook every time you jab. You should be close enough to land your jab, but far enough that he can’t land his left hook.

👾 When you train with BotBoxer by SkyTechSport, you can switch to Training Mode to work on the distance ↔️ Whenever you hear 'Break' or 'Step Back' from the machine, it means you're too close to your opponent.

BotBoxer Play will definitely help you visualize the fight – whenever your position becomes vulnerable, BotBoxer Play hero throws a punch at you 🤖

❌Most beginners tend to forget that boxing requires great aerobic capacity 🏃 So when people only start their boxing classes, they use all their energy in the first few minutes feeling completely exhausted 😰 by the middle of the workout.

✅ When you first start boxing, remember that each punch requires a certain amount of energy. Don’t forget to breathe properly 💨 to help your body get enough oxygen and to slow down your heart beat. Whether you are just training or participating in a fight, make sure you are expending your energy wisely, so that you have enough left to finish strong.

If you train with BotBoxer by , you could choose 🤖Training mode🤖 where it is possible to configure any settings⚙ of the machine to develop both your boxing skills and aerobic capacity.

🚫 Training too fast often causes beginners to miss out on key learnings things.

Most beginners want to learn as much as they can in one day, but to truly appreciate the process and to avoid possible injuries focus only on 1️⃣ or 2️⃣ things at a time. There is no way you need to rush your training.

It is much more important to slow down and focus on fundamentals 🎯

Maybe it is better to master your jab punch first rather than start with learning how to throw a cross. It may sound unexpected, but do study the science of every technique before you apply it during your workout. Enjoy the process, and don’t focus too much on the goal.
You’ll get there eventually.

If you train with BotBoxer by SkyTechSport, you may want to use ▶️Drills◀️ mode to learn how to throw a proper punch. Watch the boxers do the exercise and then try it yourself.

“That thing’s a killer! What surprised me the most? You have to be fast. Be able to recognise what’s going on, to key in if it’s coming forward or if it’s backing up. You gotta key your distance right.

It’s a mental thing as well as a physical.

Even though it’s fun, it teaches you a lot of life scenarios. How to throw the combos, when to throw your fakes, play with the bot a little bit.

No-one is gonna stand there like a bag and let you beat them.”

Breathe 💨

We all know that you breathe out with every punch. But you can also train your breathing separately.

❕Speed breathing is when you inhale – exhale fast.

Start at your normal pace of breathing while with every exhalation tightening your core and squeezing the air out of your body.
⬇️
Slowly pick up the speed of your breathing.

This exercise can be uncomfortable in the beginning. But give it time and your body will learn how to manipulate it to your benefit.

Specifically, helpful when throwing a punch and retracting it back.

A review from Missouri state boxing champion with almost half a century of experience in martial arts, who we met at the Martial Arts Supershow and called it the best and most innovative product on the market.

💭 “When I’m jabbing and hooking, it’s learning my strikes. It learns the strategies of how I wanna move. It means I have to re-learn. When I throw a strike, the first two or three strikes I hit the target.

After that, it starts learning the process, and every time I start throwing that punch, the sensor starts moving the bag away. It starts training like a real fighter would be in the ring.

I think that’s one of the best elements of this tool.”

Use bags!

🥊Speed bags are great for increasing the hand speed in general. The smaller the circles you draw in the air while punching the faster you become. Make it a must and it will soon become a habit of an eye-hand coordination.

🥊Use heavy bags to let your core do the main job while throwing a combo. Your core is where the truth is, that's why we call it a 'gut instinct' 😉.

🥊Power comes from the core ➡️ then is transferred to your arms ➡️ fist ➡️ and onto an opponent.

🥊Use a heavy bag to practice muscle isolation as well. In other words, don't tighten up your entire body, instead transfer the power from the hearth of your body and beyond your fist, like a whip. That's how you'll eventually land that 💥"punch they didn't see coming"💥.

How to make your punches faster with shadow boxing?

This exercise is very beneficial for working on your body speed for a few reasons.

💥 We love this one because you can do it anywhere; you're not bound to be in a boxing gym. Use shadowboxing with a specific purpose each time you train.

💥 Remember we've talked about setting goals earlier? Same rule applies here: If today you are working on extending and contracting specific areas of your body, tomorrow do the counterpart of that.

For instance, if today you're working on uppercut, cross, and a left hook type of combo, next time focus on your foot work and ducking techniques. Of course, you must use them all together, but you can isolate your attention and direct it to a one specific movement one at a time to perfect it.

💥 Shorten the length of your punches and focus rather on the speed. Build that muscle memory and breath connection that will manifest its best when you're in a ring.

💥 Try adding extra weights while doing this exercise: wrist weights and ankle weights can do magic.
