this one is for all my baddies with extensions ———> hot girl summer is upon us, ladies! here are my tips to keep in your louis this season:

🪞 tanning beds = major damage for your hair. uv exposure can dry extensions out, fade your color, and turn blondes brassy or dull wayyy faster than normal. it can even weaken bonds and shorten the lifespan of your hair! if you’re working on that base tan now, try covering your hair with a silk bonnet or tying it up.

🪞 when buying SUNSCREEN, remember that ingredients like avobenzone can react with minerals in water and cause unwanted pink/orange staining on lighter tones. please keep sunscreen off your hairline, rinse after swimming, and use a clarifying shampoo when needed.

🪞 before playing mermaids… pre-wet + protect! protective styles (like braids and low buns) done with clean water + a leave-in/conditioner will be your best friend. this will prevent matting and tangling and will keep your hair from absorbing too much chlorine/salt.
