CITRUS FOOT BATH BOMB

Here's a simple foot bath bomb recipe using baking soda, Epsom salt, and citric acid:

Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salt
1/2 cup cornstarch (optional for added silkiness)
2 1/2 tbsp coconut oil or another carrier oil (e.g., almond, jojoba, or olive oil)
1–2 tsp water or witch hazel
10–20 drops essential oil (e.g., lavender, eucalyptus, or your preferred scent)
Optional: Food coloring or mica powder for color
Optional: Dried flowers or herbs for decoration
Equipment:
Mixing bowl
Spray bottle (for the water or witch hazel)
Bath bomb molds or silicone molds
Instructions:
Mix the dry ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and cornstarch (if using). Mix thoroughly to ensure there are no clumps.
Add the oils:
In a small bowl, mix the carrier oil and essential oil. If using food coloring, add it to the oils. Slowly drizzle the oil mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
Moisten the mixture:
Fill a spray bottle with water or witch hazel. Lightly spritz the mixture while stirring until it holds together when squeezed. Be careful not to add too much liquid, as it will activate the citric acid prematurely.
Pack the mixture into molds:
Quickly press the mixture into bath bomb molds or silicone molds. Pack it tightly to ensure the bath bombs hold their shape.
Let them dry:
Allow the bath bombs to dry and harden for 24–48 hours. Once fully dry, gently remove them from the molds.
Store:
Store the bath bombs in an airtight container or wrap them individually in plastic wrap to keep them fresh until use.

This is the remnants of a small batch or whipped body butter for my sister’s grandson who suffers from eczema. He’s a margin to nuts and shea butter. So the batch i made has 45% mango butter, 5% kokum butter, 25% sunflower 🌻, 21% vegetable glycerin, 3% arrowroot, and 1% vitamin E. I’ll make some body balm with these remnants. Waste not want not.

Giving thanks this holiday season. I’m cooking all of my favorites, except for the rotisserie chicken. Im treating this like a meal prep so left overs will be frozen. 🥶 And yes, Im still going to have breakfast & lunch. I’ll try to make things a little healthier.
