One thing I learned in wrestling is that when we train together, we work together.
Over the past 4 years of traveling and helping nail salons regain clienteleโor even building them from the ground upโI realized something. The problem isn't just superficiality or materialism. It's the lack of camaraderie. There is something powerful about being surrounded by people who understand that someone else's growth doesn't have to come at the expense of your own.
I've worked alongside incredibly talented nail technicians throughout my career. Different personalities. Different techniques. Different styles. Different strengths... and I've learned that there is enough room in this industry for all of us to have our own lane.
You don't have to dim someone else's light to make yours brighter.
You don't have to withhold knowledge to protect your position.
You don't have to view every talented person beside you as a threat.
Sometimes, the people working beside you can make you better.
That's what camaraderie means to me.
Supporting the people around you while continuing to sharpen your own craft. Learning from each other. Sharing ideas. Celebrating each other's wins. Pushing each other to become better.
And still being proud of the work you bring to the table.
I think the beauty industry has so much potential when we remember that we're all craftsmen and artists in our own right. There is room for different styles. Different prices. Different personalities. Different clientele. Different visions.
We don't have to be the same to respect each other.
We don't have to compete with EVERYONE to know our own worth.
We don't have to tear someone else down to build ourselves up.
I've learned a lot over the last four years. I'm still learning. Ever growing. But one thing I know for sure:
The beauty industry has too much fake camaraderie. It's sold to us like flowers and bubbles: pretty, soft, beautiful, harmless... it's bu****it. Flowers take time to grow and bloom. Bubbles still pop. You can't expect to rise when you're too busy worrying about someone else's grass. Water your own so you can arrive as you are.

I am passionate about my work, and I genuinely love what I do. There are times where I may not be able to speak, have a say in my prices, or have complete control over the way services are structuredโbut I have always made a way to take care of the clients in front of me.
It has always been my duty to give every client the best work and experience that I possibly can.
One thing I've learned throughout my career is that
In past places, I was not always allowed to use my name, ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ข๐จ, to identify myself from the other technicians. You may know me by an alias, such as (but not limited to):
Sometimes clients didn't know my last name. Sometimes they didn't even know my first name. Sometimes they only knew where I sat, what I looked like, or which station I worked at.
They remembered the conversations.
They remembered how I treated them.
They remembered the nails.
They remembered bringing their children.
They remembered wanting to come back.
They remembered ๐
And that's what makes these reviews so meaningful to me.
Because these aren't reviews from a business page that was built around Mandy Reams. They're reviews from different places, different periods of my career, and different namesโyet somehow, ๐บ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ณ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐ผ ๐บ๐ฒ.
Some of these reviews are years old. Some are recent. Some mention me by name. Some describe me without even realizing that someone looking at them years later would be able to connect the dots. I didn't always get to put my name on the work, or take a photo...
So I'm putting these here nowโnot to take credit for someone else's business, but to document my own career, my own work, and the clients I've had the privilege of serving along the way. To every person who has ever sat in my chair, laid their hands on my table, trusted me with their nails, brought their child, recommended me, came back, left a review, took a picture, or simply told someone about me:
Every review is a little piece of my journey, and I'm proud to finally put those pieces together under the name

I would like to thank everyone for the kindness given to me this past couple of days. I'm going through a lot when it comes to managing my page.
Lately, if you know you know, but due to recent events I'm not even allowed to give out my name. I'm not allowed to say hey, "my name is Mandy Reams" to a customer. When I talk too much with a client I am under supervision. When I have a request I am under supervision.
I will not deter this treatment from providing the best possible service I can do, given the products provided by the salon. I will do my work to the fullest of my ability when it comes to providing excellent customer service.
From now on, when booking, please ask for Mandy the Wrestler if you have seen me from a wrestling show, because there is another girl given the nickname "Mandy" as her alias. Otherwise, I have been officially approved for the following identifiers: "Amanda" "Manda" and "Row 1 Seat 2".
I am also passing out the salon cards, they have their official stamp on hand, so you can't forge any signature. (Not sorry, no frauds!) The cards have the number for everyone to call the salon. I'm not allowed to ask you to message me after you call and schedule your appointment because they said they will call me and tell me when you are coming (even though they actually don't). So if you have an appointment with me you must be ready to wait otherwise they will move you to another person (which is fine with me, but there's nothing I can do if you really want me so you will more than likely be required to wait). If you are uncomfortable the only thing I can possibly professionally suggest is just leave.
I am thankful for everyone for their support and encouraging words. I look forward to booking with you in the future!
Me mentally planning next monthโs nail ideas before I even finish this one... at least I can show you all tomorrow!!
