We are still opened! Shawn is here Tuesday - Friday 9-5pm.

There is a tear in my eye and sadness in my heart, yet I am filled with peace and joy.

As I hand my shop over to Tamara, I know she will love it and take care of it the same way I always have. This place has meant so much to me, and while it’s hard to let it go, I feel at peace knowing it’s in good hands.

I’m thankful for all the memories and excited to see what the future holds for Tamara and the shop.

Thank you to all who have supported. Leaving you is the hardest part.

Attention Barbershop Family. ‼️

After 15 years, due to circumstances beyond my control regarding the lease, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of my barbershop if I’m unable to find a buyer by the 31st.

My goal is obviously to find the right buyer so the legacy continues for this neighborhood.

I sincerely apologize for the short notice—this news came to me unexpectedly as well.

This has not been an easy decision, but I feel it is time to focus my energy and attention on this new chapter of my life. I am incredibly grateful for every client, conversation, friendship, and memory shared over the years. Thank you all for your support, loyalty, and trust—it has meant more than I can express.

This shop has been much more than a place of work. It has been my safe place, my home, something I have built, filled with laughter and conversations. I have truly put my heart and soul into this shop, and while it is hard to close this chapter, I know it is time for a change.

I will be cutting hair in Shelbyville on Thursdays from 9am–2pm, and I look forward to continuing to see many of you there.

Barbering has never been just a job to me—it’s always been about the people, the conversations, and the connections. Every client who has sat in my chair, believed in me, laughed with me, and even cried with me through life’s hard seasons has made this journey so special. Because of that, I’m not stepping away—I’m just stepping back.

I’ve accepted a position with Tuff Shed as an Area Sales & Design Specialist (sounds fancy huh? 🤣). This will be a different daily pace than I have been used to (ever lol), but I am excited because I will have more flexibility with Nora and her activities. In the past, I’ve had to miss class parties, school field trips, and other opportunities she’s had. I’m happy to be more hands-on moving forward. This will stretch me and help me grow. This decision did not come lightly or without counsel and much prayer. It’s a bittersweet step.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared to death—my whole life and my career is about to change— learning new things at 43 😬, but the peace God has given me outweighs that fear. He has provided and made confirmations you wouldn’t believe. I believe this is the plan He has for me.

As I transition, I may be a little less available in the shop.

I will be out of Bon Air starting May 18th until June 4th for training. As of June 4th, I will be at Bon Air on Thursdays going forward.

To Shelbyville, and Greg, thank you for welcoming me with open arms and taking a chance on this city girl 😉. You all helped my heart heal more than you’ll ever know.
