Hello, Janes!
I'm launching the "Heal" line of soaps. I wanted to launch this line because a lot of you have asked "What do your soaps do?" Meaning do your soaps have any apothecarial benefits to them. The answer was "no" not directly. I was not a believer in using or selling soap as "medicine" or a cure-all for skin related diseases. Since, it's scientifically proven that soaps don't do that although they're great for mitigating the spread of germs and bacteria that create disease.
Until, I met a lovely woman who asked me the same question. She proceeded to tell me about her father who I believe was suffering from eczema and she said "so we bought this soap and it actually worked". I was surprised. I believe that what had truly helped was the lack of harsh surfactants, detergents, and fragrances which already weren't a component of any soaps made by The Jane Doe Soap Company. However, I was curious, after that encounter I was motivated to dig a little deeper into the therapeutic properties of soaps.
During my research, I re-familiarize myself with the all the ingredients that can be added in soaps that have scientifically proven benefits for the skin. After my research, I came away with the conclusion that while soaps don't cure skin related diseases, soaps are a great complement in someone's healing journey in more ways than one!
Keeping that in mind I set out to formulate our "Heal" line. I added ingredients that are known to help certain skin ailments like pine tar, turmeric, tea tree essential oil, etc. in order to boost the apothecarial value of an already mild and gentle soap formula.
Without further ado, let me introduce you to our "Heal" line:
Sweet Orange Turmeric: The star of this soap is Turmeric, which is known to lower melanin production helping in brightening and evening out the skin.
Tea Tree Charcoal: A one-two punch formula with tea tree essential oils great for acne and oily skin elevated by activated charcoal which is great at getting rid of excess oil and unclogging pores.
Pine Tar Basil: Pine tar offers calming effect to the skin while providing anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties.
Lavender: Uses Lavandin essential oil for it's calming aromatherapeutic effects alongside rhubarb powder which fights aging due to the high antioxidants and vitamins that fight free radicals.
Lemongrass Poppy: Uses poppy seeds to exfoliate dead skin cells while the Lemongrass Essential Oil provides a calming effect.

I wanted to show you how I turn my soaps into bars. While I show you how I cut my soaps. This week I’ve been thinking a lot about how much your life is affected by the people that you have in it. And not just in ways that are evident like the impact they have on your peace and mental health. But rather the less subtle ways that their presence impacts your life.
The people that you have in your circle affect who you are and who you’re trying to become. Is their presence subtly encouraging a bad habit that you're trying to kick? For example, if you’re trying to cut down on alcohol are they saying “Come on! Have another drink, it won’t kill you!” or if you’re trying to earn more money because you have debt to pay off are they saying “Don’t work so hard, have some fun!”. It may seem lighthearted but unless they’re helping find an alternative to help you solve your problems. All they’re doing is providing an easy distraction.
By influencing who you want to be for better or worse they in turn affect the opportunities that show up for you. When I say opportunity I mean opportunity of every kind. Romantic, Economic, Self Fulfillment, Enjoyment.etc. Why? Because either your people are helping attract or they’re helping repel the opportunities that you want. Hence that’s why in life some opportunities may require you to shed some people in order for you to be able to attain them.
God works through people. The devil works through people too. Therefore Be incredibly selective and strategic about who you let into your life. Vet them properly and thoroughly for letting the wrong one in can completely destroy your life!

Hello, Janes! It’s Kathleen!
As promised, I’m back sharing the cut of the soap slab.
As I was cutting the slab, I was thinking about the frustration one feels when someone hurts you and there seems to be no consequences for their actions against you. In fact, they seem to be thriving in life. Meanwhile, you’re left wondering “When will Karma get them?” “When will I have my justice?”. In a world where abusers can become presidents of the United States of America and the victims are vilified. I’m here to tell you that their success is part of the plan. Yes! You heard me correctly. Your abuser's success is part of their downfall for “the higher they are, the harder they will fall”.
They need to climb higher for there to be proper consequences of their actions to you. You see the universe doesn’t just want to give them a mild slap on the hand but rather a “life as they know it” type of miserable end. It wants their downfall to match the pain and trauma that they have caused you.
So don’t despair! Don’t mind them, just live your life and focus on your self growth! The universe
will take care of them in due time. And in its own mysterious ways the universe will ensure that you find out about it.
