Happy National Esthetician Day! 🤎

Today is more than just celebrating my profession. It’s about reflecting on the journey, the sacrifices, the moments of doubt & the determination it took to get where I am today.

Over two years ago, I graduated from esthetician school & became a licensed esthetician within that same year, but what people don’t see is everything it took to get there. Driving an hour to school and sometimes an hour and a half just to get back home. The early mornings, late evenings, exhaustion, & days when I questioned whether I had the strength to keep going.

There were moments I wanted to give up, but I kept pushing. Even when I was tired, discouraged, or unsure of myself, I continued showing up because deep down, I knew this was something I was destined to do. Every sacrifice and obstacle was preparing me for the woman and professional I’m becoming.

While I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I know the work is far from over. There are still goals I haven’t accomplished, skills I want to master & dreams I’m determined to turn into reality. Sometimes I have to remind myself that just because I’m not where I want to be yet doesn’t mean I haven’t made progress. I’m learning to appreciate where I am while continuing to work toward where I want to be.
