Wondering what grey blending actually is? Let me explain.⁠
It’s not full coverage, and it’s not “just let it grow” it’s that middle ground that softens the look of your greys instead of covering them up completely.⁠
We use highlights, lowlights, or demi-permanent color to blur the line between your natural color and your greys, so it grows out softer, more natural, and way less noticeable.⁠
It’s ideal if you’re not quite ready to fully embrace the grey, but you’re also tired of root touch ups every 4 weeks.⁠

How to prepare for your color appointment at Aura Collective:

Come with clean, dry hair.
"Day 3" with dry shampoo build up, will not accept color evenly. Extremely dirty or oily hair looks darker which may alter the way I formulate. Changing your desired result.

No grey coverage root spray!
Root coverage sprays/powders create a barrier & make it harder for the color to pe*****te. Resulting in uneven coverage where you want it most!

Enough time in your schedule.
Every appointment has a certain amount of time scheduled for it. I need all the time that I booked out for you to deliver the consistent results you expect. If you are late or need to leave earlier then the amount of time I have booked, I can't guarantee these results or may need to cut out your scalp massage, deep conditioner, or blowout. Which isn't fun or ideal.

All of these habits fade your color & gloss 🫢

Hot showers- turn down the temperature when your shampoo & condition

Daily shampoos- try a dry shampoo or just rinse with cooler water skip the lather

Sulfate shampoos- sulfate-free shampoo’s are less stripping & more gentle

No heat protection- its 2025, you know you’re damaging your hair without it

Sun & pool exposure- get your hair wet with tap water & apply a leave-in conditioner before swimming

No UV protection- cover your hair with a hat, scarf or use product with UV filters like Su Milk
