Afraid of going under? It is the question patients ask first.
An anesthesiologist stays with you for the whole operation. Their only job is watching your heartbeat, your breathing, and every detail in between.
The medications are short-acting and chosen around your health.
When you know what happens in that room, the fear has less to hold on to.

Breast reduction or breast lift? The difference is really about how much tissue we remove.

Both reshape and lift the breast. A reduction also removes excess breast tissue to improve comfort and proportion.

Same philosophy: beautiful shape, natural proportions, and a result that fits your body.

Reply BBR, and I will send you my Breast Reduction Guide.

You do not need drains after a breast reduction. Drains are common, but not a KPS. Careful tissue handling and precise closure help minimize the space where fluid can collect.

For my patients, that means no tubes to manage and a more comfortable early recovery.

I have a PhD in wound healing and tissue engineering, so how you heal is something I think about throughout the entire operation.

The result matters, but so does your recovery.

Reply BBR for a copy of my Breast Reduction Guide.

Breast reduction is one of my signature procedures and one of my favorite operations to perform. A great breast reduction is not just about making the breasts smaller. It is about relieving the heaviness, neck and back pain, and shoulder grooves while creating a breast that is lifted, proportionate, and beautiful.

Function matters. Shape matters. Both should be part of the operation. My breast reductions are drain-free and designed with recovery in mind.

“Dr. K, is this bruising normal?”

I get a lot of photos like this after surgery. Most bruising is completely normal and often looks worse before it looks better.

It usually starts purple or blue, then turns green and yellow before it disappears.

Bruising is usually just part of your body healing.

And yes, all of my surgical patients have my personal cell phone number. Send me the photo. I would rather you ask.

A woman posted about having an all-female surgical team for her breast reduction. She said she felt safe and celebrated. I understand why. My clinical team is female. If that matters to you, ask. We'll do everything we can to make it happen.

Most women think a breast reduction is about going smaller. It's about feeling lighter. Patients tell me they stand taller, breathe easier, and move without pain for the first time in years. That's where form meets function.

Every reduction is designed around your anatomy and your goals.

Most surgeons treat a scar as something to hide. I treat it as something to design.

Every incision is planned around how your skin will move, stretch, and heal. Suture technique, silicone, massage timing — all of it starts in the OR, not after.

The goal isn't a scar that fades. It's a scar that goes quiet.

Comment SCAR, and I will send you my scar protocol.

Most surgeons treat a scar as something to hide. I plan mine before I make the first cut. Where the line goes, how the deep layer carries the tension, which suture, when silicone starts. All of it is decided in the OR.

Comment RECOVERY for a copy of my holistic protocol.

I don't prescribe narcotics after a breast reduction. They aren't needed.

A long-acting numbing medication during surgery means you wake up comfortable instead of in pain. From there, the protocol keeps you ahead of the discomfort and still in tune with what your body is telling you.

A comfortable recovery is something I design for.
