At just 6 years old, sweet Kadence officially started her microlocs journey! Her mom decided to make the switch after experiencing buildup and styling challenges with her traditional locs. Since her little sister already has microlocs and Kadence absolutely loved the look, it was the perfect time to start fresh.

Kadence was such an amazing little client! She sat patiently the entire time, enjoyed her snacks, watched TV, and let me work my magic without a single tear. 🥹💕

Some stories remind us that love is found in sacrifice.

✨ In 2023, we had the privilege of installing Ms. Harris’ very first set of Microlocs at LaBelle.

💜 Then life took an unexpected turn.

🏥 Her husband became seriously ill and spent a long time in the hospital.

❤️ Without hesitation, Ms. Harris chose to put her husband and her family first. Between hospital visits, caregiving, and financial responsibilities, she made the difficult decision to cut her Microlocs because maintaining them was no longer possible.

😭 When we announced our FREE Microlocs Giveaway, her husband quietly nominated her.

📝 He shared their story, hoping to give his wife back something she had sacrificed out of love for their family.

🥹 The most touching part? She had no idea her husband had nominated her until we called to tell her she had won.

I was reminded this week how vital it is to pause. If we don’t take care of our bodies and minds, nothing else truly matters. So, I took that to heart—I went to get my hair done and then visited this beautiful new park on 35 by the Dallas Zoo. With the World Cup happening here in Dallas, I saw the big soccer ball display, and it was so inspiring. I took a picture and saved it as a special spot for me and my stylists to come back, maybe even with some clients, to watch the game. If you’re in Dallas, visit Highland Park—it’s perfect for a relaxing day, whether you’re solo, with kids, or just exploring. Life is about balance—don’t forget to pause and enjoy it.

The joy when you learn a new thing that will definitely make The Labelle family happy. The Diamond parting is just different, it's just stylish and unique.
