Bisphosphonate Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (BRONJ)

*** Better to avoid dental extractions, periodontal surgery and implant placement during the active period of bisphosphonate therapy and treat the tooth carefully with nonsurgical root canal treatment instead if possible. If the patient has been taking medicine for more than 3 years it has been recommended to stop the medicine for at least 3 months before carrying out any surgical procedure and once the healing is complete, the drug can be taken.

*** بهتر است از کشیدن دندان، جراحی پریودنتال و کاشت ایمپلنت در طول دوره فعال درمان با بیس فسفونات خودداری کنید و در صورت امکان به جای آن دندان را با درمان ریشه غیرجراحی درمان کنید. اگر بیمار بیش از 3 سال دارو مصرف کرده باشد، توصیه می شود قبل از انجام هر عمل جراحی، دارو را حداقل به مدت 3 ماه قطع کند و پس از بهبودی کامل، می توان دارو را مصرف کرد.
