Surgery is officially behind me, and I’m happy to say everything went as smoothly as I could have hoped. šŸ’œ Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent messages, prayed for me, or just thought about me. It truly means more than you know.

Now comes the hard part… recovering. šŸ˜… I’m learning that doing absolutely nothing is way harder than I expected, but I’m trying my best to listen to my body and give it the time it needs to heal.

I’ve also had quite a few people reaching out about appointments, and I appreciate every single one of you thinking of me. I’ll be back behind the chair in September, and I can’t wait to see everyone again. I promise I’ll be worth the wait.

For now, I’m focusing on healing, spending time with my plants, and trying not to drive myself crazy sitting still. Thank you all for being so patient and supportive. I’ll keep sharing little recovery updates along the way. šŸ’œ

Ever wonder why I ask so many questions during your consultation?

It’s because your hair tells a story.

✨ Have you colored it before?
✨ Do you heat style every day?
✨ How often do you want to come back?
✨ What’s your morning routine like?

Every answer helps me create a color that’s not only beautiful but realistic for your lifestyle.

There’s no ā€œone-size-fits-allā€ formula here. Every appointment is customized just for you, because your hair deserves a plan… not a guess. šŸ’œ

One thing about this client… she’s always going to keep me on my toes. šŸ˜„

She loves to switch things up, and this appointment was no exception. She wanted to bring back a copper look we had done before, but with a little extra dimension.

Here’s what was going through my mind behind the chair…

✨ I added strategically placed highlights to create ribbons of blonde that would peek through the copper instead of leaving the color looking solid from roots to ends.

✨ As I worked through her hair, I slightly adjusted my color formula for the underneath sections. Hair naturally appears darker underneath, so using a slightly deeper formula helped create a balanced, seamless result from top to bottom.

Those little decisions may seem small, but they’re what create a color that feels intentional, dimensional, and customized.

Hair color isn’t about using the same formula from the first section to the last. It’s about understanding how hair behaves, making adjustments along the way, and creating a result that’s tailored specifically to the person sitting in my chair.

That’s the part of hair color I love most. šŸ’œ

Pinterest is inspiration…not a guarantee.

Every head of hair starts from a different place.

Your natural color, previous color history, hair health, density, and texture all play a role in what’s possible.

Instead of chasing someone else’s exact hair, I focus on creating the best version for yours.

Healthy hair will always be the priority because beautiful color starts with healthy hair. āœØšŸ’œ

One thing I kept telling myself during this appointment…

Less is more.

This guest loves those bright ribbons of blonde, but she also loves being a brunette.

Those two things can absolutely go together. It all comes down to intentional placement.

As I was foiling her hair, I kept reminding myself not to overdo it. It can be tempting to keep adding ā€œjust one more foil,ā€ but I knew that if I did, I’d lose the rich brunette she loves.

Instead, I focused on placing highlights where they’d create pops of brightness and movement while still letting her brunette be the star of the show.

Sometimes creating beautiful hair isn’t about adding more. It’s about knowing when enough is enough.

Every foil I place has a purpose, and every decision I make is based on the end result we’re trying to achieve. That’s what customized color is all about. šŸ’œ

Not every blonde needs to be high maintenance.

One of the first questions I ask isn’t ā€œHow blonde do you want to be?ā€

It’s…

šŸ‘‰ How often do you realistically want to come to the salon?

Your hair should fit your lifestyle, your budget, and the amount of maintenance you’re willing to commit to.

The goal isn’t just beautiful hair on appointment day.
The goal is beautiful hair between appointments too.

That’s why I customize every color instead of giving everyone the same formula. šŸ’œ

✨ Blonde myth: The lightest blonde isn’t always the prettiest blonde.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:
ā€œI just want to be as blonde as possible.ā€

But here’s the truth…

Beautiful blonde isn’t about lifting your hair to the highest level. It’s about creating the right balance of brightness, depth, tone, and shine while keeping your hair healthy.

Sometimes adding a little depth actually makes the blonde POP even more.

My goal isn’t to push your hair past its limits. My goal is to give you hair that looks amazing today and is still healthy when you come back for your next appointment.

Healthy hair will always outshine damaged blonde. šŸ’œ

Would you rather have:
✨ Healthy, dimensional blonde
or
⚔ Platinum at any cost?

There’s just something about creating the perfect blonde. ✨ Bright where it matters, soft where it counts, and always keeping hair health the priority. This is why I love what I do. šŸ’œ
