Lucky's Barber Shop

I come to you with a heavy heart this morning, and I regret to inform you that I am permanently closing lucky barber shop in Mathis, Texas. Because of the injuries I received from a car accident in May, I have been out for quite some time already, I have used up all my savings to pay bills, and I cannot afford to continue paying rent on a building that I am not profiting from. Also my pre existing medical conditions make it hard for me to work for long periods of time. So starting tomorrow, I will be removing my equipment and belongings from the shop, if anyone would be so kind as to help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I was in a car accident on Monday, got my back all messed up, and can barely walk. My attorney has me in therapy 3 times a week for 4 weeks. I'm hoping to be able to get back to work this coming week, but only time will tell

I'm closing at 5pm today, but I'll be back all day tomorrow and Saturday

Going to be running a bit late today, didn't have the right clothes to keep my nalgas warm. I'll be open by 12:30

Sorry for going MIA on you guys this week, Wednesday and Thursday, I had to take my daughter and grandson to appointments, then Friday and Saturday I got really sick....again!!!! I'm feeling better just a residual cough. But I am feeling shortness of breath, chest congestion and wheezing. But I feel like I can do some haircuts today. Let me know if you're interested so I'll know if it's worth the drive. Or should I just start fresh on Tuesday??? LMK

Well I got bad news, my wife just tested positive for covid. So here I go again on quarantine.

I will be in a teledoctor appointment until 4:30 at which time I will reopen

Want to thank God for getting me through all the illness I was fighting. I'm feeling about 90% better and will be at the barbershop tomorrow from 10am until 7pm. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

So here's the update on myself and Lucky's Barber Shop. On New Years Eve, I started feeling flu symptoms, cough, chills, feverish, and I ended up missing the celebration and slept. A few days later, my fever broke, and I started to feel better except for a lingering cough which is normal for me because I'm a smoker. 3 days ago I coughed so hard that I thought I fractured a rib or gave myself a hernia. I ended up in the ER day before yesterday where I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Yesterday I started my course of antibiotics, and am hoping to be back at work by this coming Wednesday. I am taking precautions, because of everything that's going on, I would hate to be the cause of anyone's illness. I still believe that 2022 is going to bring good things, and look forward to serving the Mathis community for years to come. God bless you all, and I wish you health, wealth, and prosperity in 2022. I pray for your continued support and patronage.

Also as much as I hate to do it, with the cost of living, and the cost of food, gas, and supplies going up; it's with a heavy heart that I too must raise my prices. Starting January 1st 2022, prices will be as follows.
Adult ages 12 and up will be $20
Kids ages 1-11 will be $15
Shaves will be $15
Razor fades will be $30
Designs start at $15
Beard trims start at $10
Senior citizens age 55 and up will be $10 on Wednesday only.
First responders, law enforcement, and active military will be $10 on Tuesday only.
I am so sorry for the inconvenience, however with everything so expensive these days I have to compensate to be able to support my family, and keep my doors open. However I do believe that the love, time, and craftsmanship I deliver with every cut are worth the increase. I thank you for your continued support and patronage.
