Just a friendly reminder that the shop is CLOSED today!

Taylor has been absolutely slaying it while I’ve been out, but today he’s taking a well-earned family day. He’ll be back tomorrow… and just so you know, he’s already booked solid the rest of the week. Y’all have been keeping that man BUSY!

Tomorrow is my post-op checkup, so if you don’t mind, send a few good vibes and cross those fingers that the doctor says, “Go back to work!”

Now… before everyone starts celebrating, “go back to work” does not mean full speed ahead. I’ll still be cutting in my fancy Ironman brace, which is going to slow me down quite a bit. \(According to my wife, that’s probably for the best\. Apparently not everyone thinks life is a race\. 😂\)

What can I say? I wasn’t raised to quit. In my family, if there was a brick wall, you just pushed through it. Turns out… eventually the brick wall pushes back. Lesson learned… maybe.

So here’s the game plan:
✅ Taylor will be back in the saddle tomorrow.
✅ I’ll be able to let everyone know more about when I’ll officially be back to slinging hair.
✅ And one more time for the folks in the back… WE’RE CLOSED TODAY!

I also want to say thank you. Thank you for being patient while I’ve been out these last few weeks, and thank you for being patient with Taylor. He’s only one guy… even if he occasionally has several personalities. 😂

Seriously though, give that man a round of applause. Running Armstrong’s with one barber is no small task. Out of everyone who’s helped keep this place rolling through my surgeries over the years, Taylor—the youngest barber in experience, not age!—has stepped up in a huge way. He’s handled everything like he’s been doing this whole life, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Alright… that’s enough reading. Get off your phone and pretend to be productive!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. The shop will be closed tomorrow.

As for Friday, Taylor has a 9:00 AM opening, and after that we’re completely booked for the rest of the week!

It’s actually nice outside right now!! So naturally, enjoy it while you can before Mother Nature remembers it’s summer. 😂

Let’s start with the good news…

Taylor has finally agreed to start wearing deodorant!!!

The bad news?

He’s only got a 9:30 and a 10:00 left today! 😳

You all have been keeping Taylor absolutely POPPIN’, and he’s taking it like a champ. Being the only barber holding down a busy shop isn’t easy. It’s hard not to get overwhelmed, and even harder not to start cutting corners (see what I did there? 😏). But Taylor continues to show up, work hard, and take great care of everyone who walks through the door.

As for me, I’ve officially graduated into my “Iron Man” brace. The rehab journey is underway, and I’m slowly but surely getting better. If all goes well, I’m hoping to make an appearance behind the chair in a couple of weeks. Trust me, nobody is more excited about that than I am!

Until then, Taylor will continue doing everything he can to get as many of you taken care of as possible. I can’t thank him enough for stepping up and carrying the load while I heal. He’s been an absolute rockstar, and I’m grateful to have him on the team.

Have a grate day, everyone! I look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces again very soon… and if Taylor forgets that deodorant thing, you’ll definitely smell him before you see him. 😂

Hey everybody! It's Taylor, I have some availability left for today and this week to keep you looking sharp ! But spots fill up fast around here and even faster when it's just one of us! So if you need a spot book online or call the shop and I can get you set up before they are gone !

Good morning!

I had intended on posting sooner, but WOW… it’s been a rough weekend. The surgery went as well as expected, but there was apparently quite a bit of work needed to get me put back together. Recovery has definitely been no joke.

That said, today is a new day, and I’m feeling much better this morning. Later this week, I’ll be trading this immobilizing cast for what I can only describe as my Iron Man-style mechanical brace. That will allow me to begin rehabilitation while helping keep me from doing what I do best—overdoing it.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed, sent well wishes, or checked in on me. The support has meant more than you know, and I’m incredibly grateful for all of it.

If everything continues to go according to plan, I should be able to start getting back to work in some capacity within the next couple of weeks. Until then, Taylor is doing a great job keeping the shop rolling while I focus on getting healed up.

I’ll keep everyone updated as I learn more. Thanks again for all the support—it truly means the world to me.
