Not to put any ideas in your head, but ...
Learning about how your everyday meals affect your blood sugar is extremely important.
I’m using a continuous glucose monitor to observe my patterns in real time as I go about my normal day, eat my usual meals, and move my body.
In this clip, my midwife is explaining how it works and why monitoring blood sugar matters, even if you’re eating well and have no history of blood sugar issues.
Pregnancy changes how your body responds to insulin, and gestational diabetes can develop as pregnancy progresses - It’s not a character flaw.
The standard glucose screening test remains the established approach to screening for gestational diabetes. A CGM offers a different kind of information by showing glucose patterns throughout the day.
This is what I’m choosing with my specific provider to learn more about my own body during pregnancy. I think understanding our options and learning how our bodies work is always worth the conversation. 🤍
Prime Picks: Supplement Edition
If you’re stocking up on supplements during Prime Day, these are a few of the brands I’d actually look for ⬇️
Designs for Health: A supplement brand known for research-backed formulas and rigorous quality testing. It’s a brand you’ll commonly see recommended through functional and integrative practices, and you can find select products on Amazon.
Seeking Health: A brand I trust for high-quality, bioavailable nutrients. I personally am taking their Folinic Acid during my pregnancy. Their D3 + K2 and Active B12 are also great options if you’re looking to fill specific nutrient gaps.
Creatine: One of my favorite supplements for women! Creatine plays a major role in cellular energy production, and research also suggests potential benefits for memory, attention and cognitive performance. Needed + Promix both have quality creatine options on sale.
BIOptimizers: Their Digestive Enzymes are a favorite for supporting digestion, especially with larger or heavier meals, while Magnesium Breakthrough combines multiple forms of magnesium in one formula. I’ve used and trusted this brand for years.
Just Thrive: Spore-forming probiotics are designed to be much more resilient through the harsh conditions of the GI tract, which can help the organisms actually make it through digestion and work for you!
As always, supplements aren’t one-size-fits-all and THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE. I’m just sharing a few of the trusted supplement companies available on Amazon through the seller that are offering special discounts over the next couple days. Consult with your healthcare provider before adding any supplements into your daily routines. 🤍
My Prime Day skincare picks, broken down by skincare needs + budget. Clearstem has been a favorite of mine from the beginning. The entire line is acne-safe, non-pore-clogging and focused on both acne + aging. The formulas are incredibly well done and worth the investment.
My top teen picks are affordable, quality options for anyone just getting into skincare (and yes, you can use them as an adult too). Just keep in mind, an $11 vitamin C serum and a $150 vitamin C serum are not going to deliver the same formulation or potency.
Lastly, my advanced skincare picks for those who are looking for more targeted, high-performance formulas with ingredients like peptides, growth factors and exosomes. These are definitely an investment, but they’re the products I’d look at if you’re specifically wanting to target signs of aging, dehydration and overall skin quality.
Honestly, just unsolicited advice in general 🥱
Before you spend more $$ on your skin routine - watch this.
Walking into your first facial and leaving with SIX new products? Immediate red flag.
If you introduce 6 things at once, how do you know what’s helping? What’s irritating? What’s breaking you out? What your skin actually likes?
Skincare should be strategic, not a retail money grab. Slow. Intentional.
Also, if we’re only treating symptoms and never asking WHY the breakouts, inflammation, or rosacea started in the first place... are we really having the full conversation?
I brought this conversation months back in a viral reel about the difference between Esthetician’s and Dermatologist’s. I wanted to circle back on one of my opinions that overhauling a new skincare routine is a BAD IDEA.

Part of the 2026 baby boom and so grateful to have this sweet girl by my side. 🥹
I lost both my parents to heart disease.
When my annual physical in March (‘25) revealed undesirable blood markers, I knew I needed to make big shifts. 𝘐 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘥 (I was 34) to see if lifestyle intervention could help. I know this isn’t always the case …

My name is Mallory and I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician for 14+ years and now work as an Integrative Health Coach supporting women in their individual health transformations through lifestyle/nutrition changes.
I’m a SoCal native living in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, and still travel back to California regularly to see clients for Esthetic services. I also work with women virtually all over the country that want to clean up their daily skincare routines and make more conscious hormone-healthy choices when it comes to beauty/lifestyle products.
My own healing journey started in 2018, when years of stress finally caught up with me. In 2020, I came off hormonal birth control (after 12 years) and began the long (and honestly, empowering) process of getting my cycle back, clearing my skin, and making strides towards healing my gut. That journey shaped everything I do today.
Most recently, I’ve had huge success lowering my heart-health markers, naturally — and it’s made me even more passionate about helping other women address their health concerns in a committed, natural way. I believe our bodies are incredibly capable of healing when you give them the right support.
I’m currently working towards becoming Nationally Board Certified as a health coach, and I’m obsessed with good food, quality ingredients, self-care, natural healing, non-toxic beauty, and helping other women step into the best versions of themselves.
I’m so happy you’re here ! I’m here to make real-world connections so stop by my DM’s so we can connect! For more info about what I do, click the link in my bio to visit my website.
