Esthetician friends, don’t come at me! I still believe you should wear sunscreen. Trust me, I have paid more money than I would like to admit on reversing years of tanning beds and lying out and frying in the sun! 🥴🫠 BUT… If you are blonde and use sunscreen with Avobenzone and Octocrylene- beware! These two offenders are known to cause permanent color damage to extensions as you see in this video. It is a known fact that they cause a chemical reaction with hair extensions. Lesser known facts are Octocrylene is damaging to marine life. And Avobenzone can react with any chemically processed blonde. So if you find your hair goes brassy in the summer- don’t blame it all on the pool, salt water and sun. It may be your sunscreen! Consider switching to a mineral base or tying your hair back and leaving it up until the SPF is totally rinsed and removed from your face and hair. Personally, I use Soleil Toujours which has a low dose of Avobenzone- I wear my hair in a pony or bun when it’s on my neck, back and shoulders and I’ve never had an issue. You invest so much into your hair. Invest in a high quality sunscreen that won’t trash your hair or the ocean. 🌊 #makemeblonde #bluxombabe #wearsunscreen #sunsmart #soleiltoujours #beachbabe #oceanlife #healthyskin #sunscreen #hairextensiontips #hairextensions #hairextensioncare #mineralsunscreen #sandiegoblonde #sandiegoblondespecialist #sandiegohairextensions #beachlife #sandiegobeach #beachhair #licensedcosmetologist #cosmetology #ehpcheesecake 06/22/2024

I saw this posted somewhere and I was inspired immediately. I could not relate to this more. I spent a very large time span of my life thinking and believing that what everyone believed about me was true. I was the queen of comparison and wanting to be not in my true authentic own skin and always felt I had to be like those that were judging me thought I should be. Why did I feel the need to change who I was because of those that were judging me? . It is important to not care too much about what anyone thinks of you because constantly seeking validation from others can be detrimental to your mental and emotional well-being. When you base your self-worth on external opinions, you give others the power to control how you feel about yourself. This can lead to feelings of insecurity, self-doubt, and anxiety. . Instead, it is healthier to focus on developing a strong sense of self-worth and self-acceptance. Accepting yourself for who you are, embracing your strengths and weaknesses, and being true to your values and beliefs can lead to greater happiness and fulfillment. Remember, you cannot please everyone, and people’s opinions are subjective and often influenced by their own biases and perspectives. What truly matters is how you feel about yourself and how you choose to live your life authentically.🙏🏼❤️ #foodforthought #licensedtocreate #behindthechair #behindthechairstylist #newarkstylist #delawarestylist #delawaresalon #stpetehairstylist #tampahairstylist #tampahair #beauthentic #loveyourself #livingmybestlife #growthmindset #localluvsalon #americansalon #hotonbeauty #beautylaunchpad 11/02/2023
