Dove Hair Studio

As many of you know, we’ve been patiently waiting to get a surgery date for Caleb... and we finally have one! 🥹 His surgery is scheduled for August 24!

We’re so incredibly thankful to finally have a date, and now the planning begins. He’ll be in the hospital for about a week, and the week he comes home also happens to be the first week of school. 🤪 It’s going to be a little chaotic, but with some good planning and our amazing village, we know we’ll get through it.

I wanted to share this with you because it will affect my studio schedule for a couple of weeks. If you have an appointment during the week of August 24, I’ll likely be moving you toward the end of that week. If you have an appointment on September 1 or 2, those will most likely be rescheduled for later that week as well.

While I’m giving you a look ahead, my due date is October 16! 💙 I’m not planning to take a long maternity leave—probably about two weeks, then I’ll ease back into work and get through the holidays. I also plan to take another two-week break beginning December 24 (as best as I can manage 😂).

I know this isn’t a lot of time off, and I also know it may make for some unconventional hair appointments over the next few months. Please know I have an incredible support system ready to help make this season work as smoothly as possible. I’m also so grateful for your patience and flexibility—it truly means more to me than you know.

That said, I completely understand if this schedule doesn’t work for everyone. Please never hesitate to be open and honest with me. I care about each and every one of you, and making sure you’re taken care of—even if that means helping you find another solution—is always my priority.

I’m praying over you all who may have been affected by the storm last night. We’ve lost power before and I remember the craziness of figuring out what to do with food, kids etc…

Some much needed respite for this gang! First Saturday off since January 7…not complaining at all! We’ve been so blessed since the opening of Dove Hair Studio! We are certainly grateful for this little break! Happy summer, everyone! Oh and GO COLOMBIA!!🇨🇴

Wanted to share an important reminder!
Thursday is Jubilee day in Mechanicsburg. If you have an appointment with me, give yourself some extra time to navigate the traffic. Some recommendations I have might be to stay on the Carlisle pike and go towards middlesex road- you can then take Trindle Rd up. Or Lisburn to Locust Point Rd to Clouser. If you need help just message me!

This is my first Jubilee Day as a small business owner haha. Lots to learn- perhaps in future years I will close on Jubilee day and work an alternative day!

Hi all!
I wanted to share some exciting news! The Dove family is growing!!! In more ways than one 😁

I’ll start with the most exciting surprise.
BABY #3!!!

*yes. Lord help me… and trust me He already has in so many ways. I struggled so much with this surprise…and unfortunately I know it affected my ability to be the best business owner I could be for the last month. My deep gratitude to you all for your patience, love and care as I navigated this. I am 14 weeks & due date is October 16,2026. Baby is nice and strong already wiggling arms and feet all over the place.

With this unexpected surprise- came the realization that as Caleb recovers from surgery this summer and my belly gets bigger…I’m going to need some help in the studio. I will not be able to shampoo all day at my sink without really causing damage to my back which would mean time off work and not taking care of you. I will also need help with responding to your appointment requests, product orders etc.

I have found an amazing young lady- Maya. She is a junior at the Cumberland Perry Votech school. She’s very passionate about color and blow outs! I’m so excited to have her join me and show her what this industry can do for her! As I shared with her- I don’t know where this could lead, but I’m optimistic and willing to work with whatever! I can’t wait for you all to meet her.

I’ve been having some fun with a few transformations the last couple months. This beauty had been a regular blonde highlight of mine for about 5 years. Now we changed the tune to a copper/red 🧡

Good morning, friends! As we prepare for Easter, how many of you are getting items for others? Yup, me too. I just purchased and prepared everything for the boys' Easter baskets. Do you know what else I got? A few fun things for myself too, because self-care is important. I got some yummy peach rings, earplugs because I've been struggling to stay asleep, and these amazing shower steamers that turn an ordinary shower into a spa day.
