Hair extensions are an investment, and with proper care, they can last up to a year, sometimes longer—but let’s talk about realistic wear and tear.

From the moment your extensions are installed, they begin their natural life cycle. Over time, factors like brushing, styling, washing, vacations, sun exposure, water, product choices, and even your pillowcase all contribute to gradual changes in the hair.

By the 7-8 month mark, it’s completely normal to notice some shedding and a slight decrease in length. Extensions won’t stay the exact same as the day you got them—they experience wear just like your natural hair does.

The good news? With proper care and routine maintenance, you can extend their longevity and keep them looking their best. But it’s always good to be aware that a refresh or new set may be needed around the one-year mark.

Toners are done using demi-permanent color. Meaning that they will gradually fade over time. If you want to keep a specific tone in your hair. it must be maintained every 2-4 months.

—HEALTHY HAIR IS HAPPY HAIR —
Regular trims in between your color appointments are a must. Maintaining the integrity of your ends is important, so your hair can KEEP growing. Skipping trims can result in breakage.

— AT HOME CARE IS NECESSARY—
This includes using salon-quality products. always using a heat protectant, treatments like & brushing your hair daily.

All of these things will not only protect your hair from damage, but extend the longevity of your color.
