My girls hair is still in recovery from a calorie deficient diet that wiped her out. Its okay, we’ve talk openly about it. She looks great and feels great but It’s taken a good 2 years to get it back to where it was previously with the help of regular haircuts and laying off the bleach.

But how gorgeous does she look with her new color?

Telogen Effluvium is the medical term for a condition that causes dramatic hair loss. Typically it’s caused by something physically or emotionally stressful plus hormonal shifts that happen in our bodies. There are a lot of reasons your body can trigger TE and just to name a few are: crash dieting, weight loss surgery, childbirth, hormones and now we can thank Ozempic for that hair loss. I’ve been seeing a ton of clients coming in with random thinning lately and come to find out they’ve been taking Ozempic. We all love a good quick shortcut to skinny but remember it comes with a cost.

What we should be doing at this very moment. Boarding our plane for California so mommy can go to work. Instead, you’re in our bed, sick, with a wicked cough.. slight fever and beyond miserable. I can see it in your sweet little face.

Before I had Scarlett I didn’t understand the big deal when peoples kids got sick and they had to reschedule. The last 6 months have put things into perspective I never imagined. Time is currency and you really spend it differently once you have kids.

As I canceled my flight I instantly felt better but guilty at the same exact time. Better because I knew I was able to stay home to care for my sick baby but guilty for all the guests I had scheduled this week who were counting on me. I hate letting people down but I think letting down my little girl would be so much worse. So for now I’m going to watch over her as she sleeps, give her all the extra snuggles she needs and make sure she knows her mamas here for her.
