People ask me all the time, āBut who does your face?ā or āWhoās the best person to see?ā
And I get it. Itās a completely normal question. I would want to know that too.
But the truth is, I donāt have one person.
Every provider Skincare By Amy Peterson has touched my face in some capacity. Theyāve injected me, lasered me, treated my skin, mapped my anatomy, tested protocols on me. Because I would never hire someone, train someone or put someone in a treatment room who I wouldnāt trust with my own face.
Of course, experience is earned over time. We have providers at different stages of their careers, and weāre very intentional about matching each provider with the treatments and services that reflect their training, experience and skill level. There is a long training process to be here, with in-house clinical trainers, constant education, hands-on training, case reviews and oversight.
Some of our providers are more visible on social media. Some barely post at all. That isnāt a reflection of who is ābetter.ā
Iām incredibly proud that when someone comes into our practice, the trust doesnāt have to live with one person.
It lives in the standard weāve built as a team.
And thatās exactly how I always wanted this practice to feel. Skincare By Amy Peterson

Happy birthday to the love of my life.
People always say, marry your best friend. Marry the person who makes you laugh. Marry someone who challenges you, believes in you, and makes you better.
Somehow, I married all of those things.
But more than anything, I married someone who loves so deeply. Who adores his family. Who I can hear silently cheering me on all the time. āBabe. Babe. Babe.ā Who makes the people around him believe they can do more, learn more, and be just 1% better.
Eric is one of the most curious people I have ever met. He wants to understand everything. He asks a million questions. He is constantly learning, constantly pushing himself, and somehow always teaching the rest of us something along the way.
He is also one of the hardest-working and most brilliant people I know. Yes, heās a neurosurgeon. But Iāve watched him stretch himself so far beyond the thing he already mastered. Iāve watched him become an entrepreneur, an innovator, a CEO. Iāve watched him walk into rooms where he didnāt know everything and decide he was going to learn. His determination is relentless, and it inspires me every single day.
And with all of those accomplishments, the thing I admire most about him will always be the father he is. Our boys get to grow up watching a man who works incredibly hard, stays endlessly curious, loves his family fiercely, makes everyone laugh, and never stops trying to become better. There is no title or accomplishment that could make me prouder than that.
I am so proud of the man you are, Eric. Proud of everything youāve built, everything youāre still dreaming about, and especially the life and family youāve created around you.
Apparently two Leos arenāt supposed to work. I still disagree. You just have to know when to let the other one roar. And I think weāve gotten pretty damn good at it.
Happy birthday, Babe. Your boys absolutely adore you. I adore you. And I hope you know how incredibly loved, admired, and celebrated you are today.
There is no one I would rather do this life with. ā¤ļø

What I hear: āYou have great skin.ā
What I see: great skin but also pigment, redness, pores, texture, laxity, scars, fine lines and a running list of things I can improve.
And by the way, I absolutely do work on those things. I believe when I look my best, I feel my best. For me, thereās a direct correlation, and Iām not afraid to say that.
But I think thereās a much bigger lesson in this.
We are so much harder on ourselves than anyone else is.
We stand inches from the mirror. We zoom in. We notice every pore, line, spot and scar. And then we assume everyone else is seeing exactly what weāre seeing.
Theyāre not.
Iāve spent more than 20 years in aesthetics, and one of the reasons I love this field so much is that we have incredible tools to help people look and feel like the best version of themselves. Iāll continue using them myself too.
Improvement and perfection are two very different things.
There is no such thing as perfect skin. There is healthy skin. Well maintained skin. Skin you continue to invest in and improve.
So work on the things that bother you. I certainly do. Just remember that the tiny thing youāre obsessing over is probably something no one else even noticed. š¤Skincare By Amy Peterson

43- I donāt think Iāve ever felt more grateful to be exactly where I am.
Not because everything is perfect or Iāve figured it all out. But because I finally understand that the life I once dreamed about wasnāt something I was going to find. It was something I had to build.
And building it has required EVERY version of me.
The daughter who understands more about the love and sacrifice that shaped her. The wife who knows how much it matters to have someone beside you who believes in your dreams. The sister who knows how special it is to do life alongside someone who has known every version of you.
The founder who kept going when people told her the market was saturated. The boss who learned leadership isnāt about doing everything yourself. Itās about building an extraordinary team, trusting them, and creating something bigger than any one person.
And most importantly, the mom. Nothing I build will ever be more important than raising my boys.
At 43, success looks different to me.
Itās not just the businesses Iāve built or the next big thing Iām chasing. Itās being present enough to experience the life I worked so hard to create.
There is something incredibly freeing about getting older. I care less about proving myself. I trust my instincts more. I protect my time differently. I say no faster. I dream bigger. And somehow, Iām more ambitious than ever while understanding none of it means much if Iām not present for the people I love.
I used to think confidence came from accomplishing enough that eventually you stopped questioning yourself. Now I know confidence is knowing you can question yourself and still move forward.
You can fail and rebuild. Change your mind. Start again. Take the risk. Create something that doesnāt exist yet.
So at 43, Iām not wishing for an easier life. Iām wishing for more of this one.
More time with the people I love. More courage. More creating. More laughing until it hurts. More being fully present. More moments that make me think, I cannot believe I get to live this life.
I have a feeling the best chapter hasnāt even been written yet.
Hereās to 43. Iām going for the whole damn thing. š¤

This trip, I promised myself I was going to do something that doesnāt come naturally to me: really let go.
To trust my team to handle things, stop feeling like I needed to be involved in every decision, and be fully present with my family. And while it hasnāt always been easy, itās probably been one of the best things I could have done.
Because when you actually slow down, you notice things.
My boys are at these incredible ages where the conversations are getting more interesting. They have opinions and perspectives and questions I didnāt know they had. Iām not just spending time with them, Iām getting to know them in a completely different way.
And I keep thinking about how easy it is to tell yourself there will be more time. After this launch. After this project. After this busy season. But there will always be something else to build.
There wonāt always be this version of us.
Iām also realizing that building something great isnāt about making yourself indispensable. Itās about surrounding yourself with people you trust enough to step away and know theyāve got it. Iām incredibly grateful for a team that has given me that gift. Skincare By Amy Peterson Lenox and Sixteenth
Maybe success isnāt only about how much you can hold.
Maybe itās also about knowing when to put it down. xx
