Let’s chat about facials vs. corrective skincare for a sec? 👇
I love giving a good facial for maintenance, for clean pores, for that reset feeling. And yes, we offer them. But if you think one facial is going to fix the integrity of your skin, I need you to know that’s just not what it does.
My real passion is correction. It’s watching a teenager who’s dealt with acne finally feel like she can walk into school without being scared. 2001. I’m printing flimsy business cards on a sh*tty Epson printer that jammed every third sheet. Making signs out of poster board and markers, gluing wooden dowels to the back, staking them in people’s yards just a one-woman guerrilla marketing team.
Fast forward 25 years and somehow I’m a mediocre actress, a self-taught videographer, editor, web designer, accountant, receptionist, aesthetician, colon therapist, and social media manager — all before lunch. Nobody tells you that’s the job when you open a small business. You just f**k around and find out.
And I am grateful. I am proud. But I won’t pretend every day feels like that. Some days are easy. Some days I want to pull my hair out and walk away.
Then I walk into this office. This beautiful, ridiculous, hard-earned space that took years of planning, years of permits, years of inspections, years of f**king around and finding out — and It reminds me why I didn’t give up.
25 years. Still standing. Still thriving. Still me, doing entirely too many jobs.
