After 25 years as a hair stylist, I will be resting my shears on Thursday, August 24th and venturing into sales for new home construction. I have been telling my guests as they have arrived, but I needed this opportunity to notify as many people as possible.

Before is the curly picture of this stunning client. She had a a grown out balayage that was the beginning to lift box black color. Today was 5 months from her last previous service from another stylist. So round 2, getting the black color removed!
Balayage, root color, cut, toner and ta-da! Beautiful. Rich. Neutral. No red.

Let’s have an educational post, I’ve been meaning to write this for a few months.

How long have you been using your hair dryer? More than 5 years? Are you 37 and had this bad boy since high school? 🫣🙏🥸

Let’s assess your hair and see if your tools are prohibiting your hair needs. Hair dryers can turn on but that doesn’t mean they run efficiently or safely. They can send an uneven current of heat that you may not be paying attention to…. **until the morning it sparks, has a puff of smoke, or shoots out from your hand and across the room 🤚 🔥 💨 ⚡️ 🫣🥸 🚨

Signs to look for:
1) time. If you are over the age of 23 and still have your hair dryer from high school, stop reading and just buy one. Five years of home usage I would say is average.

2) do you have random fry spots in your hair all of a sudden? Are your bangs a bit, “crispy?” Do you have some angry ends but you just got a hair cut? Some new breakage and no explanation?

It’s your blow dryer 97% of the time causing mayhem. **Using a hot iron on slightly damp hair will also cause issues. That is operator error, not mechanical.**

I am a strong fan of babyliss thermal tools. I use their dryers, flat irons, curling irons and clipper sets. Please invest in yourself, you are worth it. ❤️😘
