Just playing around with some watercolour graphics while I ponder my business plan. The reflection today in an app I listen to daily (Catholic Daily Reflections) hit me hard and I wanted to share.
"It's easy to come up with our own plans in life. We might want to save up money, succeed at work, have a family, form friendships, retire at a certain age, and enjoy many good things. Though all these can be good and might well be part of God's plan, we must not presume upon His will. With humility, we must continually seek His guidance, remain open to His promptings, and surrender our plans to the providence of the One who knows what will truly bear fruit for eternity. Reflecting on the radical change of life to which Jesus called the Twelve invites us to consider whether Jesus also desires a radical change in our own lives."
For myself, even though I can't really say I ever actually had a plan for my life's direction, I admit I always had a notion. And never, never did it contain all that has happened to me in the last two years. Or honestly the last six. So while I write a business "plan" for my company, I just hope I am creating guardrails for the path God has chosen for me to walk.

For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be."
I once had this coworker, sort of an old cowboy, who used to reply to "How's it going?" with "Woke up on the right side of the grass again".
And as long as each day I am walking on that grass and not helping make it grow, I think that day is a gift from God. Even those crabby, miserable, "just want to hide under the covers 'cause everyone is a total plonker including me" days.
And where I come from, we say thanks for our presents 😉.
