Genade MzGotherown Colley survived being shot in the head in a shooting where more than 100 rounds were fired in a Midtown Community. Her recent surgery went well, and she is now home recovering but she still has a long road ahead.

Albert Franklin O.D. & Associates is seeking dependable, professional, and patient-focused individuals to join our team and help us continue providing excellent care and service to our patients.

We currently have THREE POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

🔹 PATIENT SERVICES & BILLING COORDINATOR
Support our patients from the front desk to the billing office, including scheduling, insurance verification, claims, billing, payment posting, and resolving billing issues. Medical billing and insurance experience is preferred.

🔹 CLINICAL EYE-CARE TECHNICIAN
Work closely with our eye-care provider to prepare patients for examinations, obtain medical and ocular histories, perform preliminary testing, operate diagnostic equipment, and support efficient patient care. Eye-care experience is a plus, but not required—training is provided!

🔹 VISUAL ACUITY TECHNICIAN
Support our clinical team with patient intake, visual acuity testing, preliminary eye-care assessments, patient preparation, documentation, and other non-invasive pre-examination procedures.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working directly with patients, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Eye-care experience is NOT required! Training will be provided on ophthalmic/optometric equipment, testing procedures, and clinical terminology.

📋 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

✔️ High school diploma or GED
✔️ Strong computer skills
✔️ Microsoft Office/Excel knowledge
✔️ Excellent communication and customer-service skills
✔️ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy patient environment
✔️ Healthcare, medical office, billing, insurance, or patient-support experience preferred
✔️ Must be available for rotating Saturdays
✔️ Must pass a background check and drug screening

📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
🔄 Rotating Saturdays required
⏰ Part-time — up to 32+ hours per week

We are still taking walk-ins M, T, W & F 10am-12:15 and afternoons from 2:30-4pm and Saturdays from 10am-12:30pm. No exceptions. Have a wonderful summer and stay cool.
