How Grease Affects Your Scalp
Your scalp is structurally identical to the rest of your skin, but it features a much higher density of hair follicles and sebaceous (oil) glands.
The Scalp’s Natural System: Your scalp already produces its own natural grease called sebum. Sebum protects the skin, prevents water loss, and naturally lubricates the hair shaft as it grows.
