Fall is finally in the air and our 2026 Halloween campout is right around the corner. Sites are starting to fill, be sure to get yours before they are gone!

The David Alley Memorial Derby is being held in memory of David Alley and to honor the memories he left with those who knew and loved him. This event is not a fundraiser for David’s family, nor is it being organized or hosted by the Alley family. With the Family’s blessing the derby is being put on by Wayne County Fair and Horse Show and YNW Derby Promoter and will be held at Monticello-Wayne County Memorial Park. We simply want to come together as a derby community to remember David, honor his memory, and celebrate the passion he shared for the sport.

Hello Fall! Lake season's winding down and we'll allow ourselves one sentence of sadness about that, and then we're moving on, because it's officially backroad season. Over the next few weeks we're taking you down some of our favorite Wayne County backroads, so buckle up.

NOTICE:

Due to the annual Poker Run event and high public use, the Lake Cumberland US Army Corps of Engineers in collaboration with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has placed a temporary “Idle Speed” zone beginning approximately ½ mile downstream of Jack’s Branch in Harmon Creek.
This temporary Idle Speed zone is in place to help alleviate congestion and aid in boater safety. Also, please be mindful of the permanent “NO SKI” or “NO TOW” zone beginning at the mouth of Harmon Creek.
