💜 A little reminder from your small, independent business owner…

I truly appreciate every single person who chooses to support Monticello Restorative Therapy. As a small, independent business, I rely on my scheduled appointments to keep my business going.

When an appointment is missed without notice or canceled at the last minute, it not only prevents another client from taking that appointment, but it also creates a financial loss for my small business. That time has been set aside specifically for you, and once that appointment time passes, I can't get it back or fill the spot.

I completely understand that things come up, life happens! ❤️ I just ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me as much notice as possible.

Your appointments, referrals, reviews, and continued support truly mean so much to me. Every appointment makes a difference when you're a small independent business.

Thank you for understanding, respecting my time, and most importantly, for supporting Monticello Restorative Therapy. I appreciate you more than you know! 💜

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀🎗️

For many women, the journey through breast cancer doesn’t end when treatment does. Surgery, lymph node removal, radiation, and reconstruction can leave behind swelling, tightness, tenderness, and scar tissue that can affect how you feel and move.

At Monticello Restorative Therapy, I offer gentle, supportive services that may be helpful during recovery:

🌸 Lymphatic Massage – gentle techniques designed to encourage lymph flow and support the body’s natural drainage process.

🌸 Lymphedema Support – working with clients experiencing swelling or changes following cancer treatment.

🌸 Scar Release Therapy – gentle work around healed surgical scars to help address areas of tightness and restricted movement.

Every body and every recovery is different, so treatments are personalized to your individual needs and stage of healing.

If you or someone you love is recovering from breast cancer surgery, I’d be happy to talk with you about whether these services may be appropriate for you.

Could a vagal nerve reset help your child relax at bedtime?

Sometimes children have a hard time slowing down after a busy day. Their bodies may still be in “go mode” when it’s time to sleep.

The vagus nerve helps the body shift into a calmer, more relaxed state. Gentle vagal nerve techniques may help your child settle their nervous system, relax their body, and create a calmer transition into bedtime. 💤

Every child is different, but sometimes helping the body slow down is the first step toward better rest.

If your child struggles with winding down at night, I’d love to talk with you about how vagal nerve reset sessions may support relaxation. 😴

Vagal nerve work is intended to support relaxation and is not a treatment for sleep disorders.

Deep Rest.

Real Healing.

The slow, rhythmic nature of Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage gently shifts the body out of stress mode
and into the parasympathetic state where healing, digestion, and immune function thrive.

Clients often feel immediate relaxation, improved sleep, and
lasting energy after sessions. When the nervous system feels safe,
the body can heal.

As the seasons change and we move into cooler weather, Fall can be a great time to give your body a little extra support. ❤️

Lymphatic massage may help:
~Encourage healthy lymphatic flow
~Support the body's natural fluid movement
~Reduce feelings of puffiness and heaviness
~Promote relaxation and a sense of well-being
~Support recovery after surgery or certain procedures
~Help those dealing with lymphedema as part of an appropriate care plan

🍁Fall is also a great time to slow down, reset, and take care of yourself before the busy holiday season arrives. 🍁

If you've been feeling sluggish, swollen, or simply want to make self-care a priority, lymphatic massage may be worth exploring.

Sleep, Stress & Pain: The Connection Your Health Can't Ignore

More than 1 in 3 adults are chronically sleep deprived and many find restful sleeping is impossible to achieve. Poor sleep doesn't just leave you feeling tired; it can affect your stress levels.

Poor Sleep = More Pain = More Fatigue = Stress

Missing Link to Sleep is the Vagus Nerve. You can only break this ugly sleep stress cycle with Vagus Nerve Stimulation.

The vagus nerve is your body's anti-stress button - shifting you out of "fight or flight" and into deep restorative rest.

When the Vagus Nerve is weak, sleep, pain, stress, and fatigue feed into each other in a loop that is difficult to break.
