🧘🏾‍♀️✨ September is Yoga Awareness Month! ✨🧘🏾‍♀️

Yoga is more than touching your toes. It’s about creating space to breathe, move, slow down, reconnect, and simply BE. 💗

And here’s your reminder: Yoga is for EVERY BODY.

You don’t have to be flexible.
You don’t have to know the poses.
You don’t need the “perfect” yoga body.
You just have to be willing to begin. 🌿

This month, I’m challenging you to make a little more room for YOU.

✨ Try your first yoga class
✨ Return to your mat if it’s been a while
✨ Explore a new style of yoga
✨ Invite a friend to practice with you
✨ Give yourself permission to slow down

All month long, we’ll be celebrating the many ways yoga can support our minds, bodies, and everyday lives.

💕 Never tried yoga before? This is the perfect month to start.

Come find your space on the mat at Royal Massage & Yoga Lounge. 👑🧘🏾‍♀️

The frequency of yoga practice really depends on your personal preference and lifestyle. Ideally, practicing yoga for 30 minutes to an hour every day would be beneficial. However, if that's not possible, you can aim to practice at least three times a week. It's important to make yoga a consistent part of your routine for the best results. Remember to listen to your body, and don't push yourself too hard. Find a routine that works for you and stick to it.

🖤 WAIT… I ALMOST LET AUGUST GET AWAY FROM ME! 🖤

August is National Black Business Month, and before we close out the month, I couldn’t let it pass without celebrating the incredible Black-owned businesses making an impact in our communities every single day.

As a Black business owner, I know firsthand that every purchase, referral, tag, share, review, and recommendation MATTERS. 🙌🏾

So before August ends, I’m challenging you to do TWO things:

✨ 1. SHOP WITH INTENTION.
Support a local Black-owned business — grab lunch, book a service, take a class, buy a product, or purchase a gift card.

✨ 2. SHARE THE LOVE.
Tag your favorite Black-owned businesses in the comments so we can discover and support them too! 🖤

🚨 BLACK BUSINESS MONTH CHALLENGE:
Tag 5 Black-owned businesses below AND make sure you’re following them.

Complete the challenge and I’ll give you $5 OFF a yoga class of your choice at Royal Massage & Yoga Lounge! 🧘🏾‍♀️✨

Let’s use these last days of August to put our dollars, shares, and support behind Black businesses — not just this month, but ALL YEAR LONG.

👇🏾 DROP YOUR FAVORITE BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES BELOW!
Let’s turn these comments into a Black Business Directory! 🖤👑

✨ Self-Care Saturday 🎾💕

Another Saturday of doing something simply because it makes me HAPPY. And this weekend, a few friends joined me! 🥰

We started with a Sculpt class hosted by Pvolve at Nashville Yards and then hit the pickleball court. 🎾 And somewhere between the workout, the laughs, and trying something new, I was reminded how important it is to actually enjoy your life while you’re living it.

Do what makes you happy.
Wear what makes you feel good. 💕
Try the thing you’ve been wanting to try.
Go even if nobody else wants to go.
And when your people want to come along…make room for them too. 🫶🏾

I’ve been learning to be more intentional about being present—not worrying about what’s next, not overthinking everything, just enjoying the moment I’m in.

Life doesn’t always have to be about being productive, checking something off the list, or accomplishing the next goal.

Sometimes self-care looks like PLAY. 🎾
Sometimes it looks like friendship.
Sometimes it looks like putting on a cute outfit and going outside. 😂💕
And sometimes it’s simply giving yourself permission to do whatever makes YOU feel alive.

Here’s your reminder: This is your life. Live it. Enjoy it. Be present for it. ✨

Did you know that yoga can improve circulation and in time help to decrease blood pressure? Yoga focuses not only on physical fitness, balance and strength but also teaches meditation, calming techniques and methods to reduce anxiety.

Gym Yoga vs. Studio Yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️✨

There’s nothing wrong with starting your yoga journey at the gym… but stepping into a dedicated yoga studio is a completely different experience.

Gym yoga often focuses on the workout.
Studio yoga focuses on the practice.

In a studio, the energy is intentional. The room is designed for presence, breath, connection, and growth — mentally, physically, and spiritually. You’re not just squeezing in a class between reps and cardio… you’re giving yourself space to truly reset.

A yoga studio becomes a community.
A place where your instructor knows your name, your practice evolves, and your nervous system can finally exhale. 🤍

Both have value, but if you’ve only experienced yoga in a gym setting… consider this your sign to experience the difference for yourself. ✨
