A significant development in the electrolysis industry was the use of multiple needles. This technique, called galvanic electrolysis, was first developed in 1916 by the Kree Company in New York City.
Over one hundred years ago in 1875, Charles E. Michel developed a method to remove ingrown eyelashes. Since that day, millions of people with unwanted hair have benefited from his idea which became known as ‘Electrolysis’.
Are you concerned about the possibility that your electrolysis treatment will be very painful? For many patients, there is only mild discomfort involved. However, we can talk to you about ways to ensure the process is not at all unpleasant.
Q: What do you call a person who performs an electrolysis procedure? A beautician? A doctor? A: The person providing your treatment is known as an electrologist.
More men are seeking permanent hair removal than ever before. Some experts attribute this to current "manscaping" trends. Can you guess the most common electrolysis or laser treatment areas for men? They are the: brows, ears, cheeks, neck, shoulders, back and hands.
Electrolysis was invented by an ophthalmologist from St. Louis, Missouri named Charles Eugene Michel. He was a pioneer of a technique for removing wild eyelash hairs by means of electrolysis. Today, he is called "The Father of Electrolysis."
Did you know that electrolysis and laser hair removal are not the same thing? While electrolysis targets the hair follicle to make hair removal permanent, laser hair removal treatments usually only target the hair itself, which may allow it to grow back.
Though individual sessions of electrolysis may seem costly, they are actually quite cost-effective compared to the king's ransom some people spend on hair-removing creams, epilators, waxing, etc. over a lifetime.
The first electrolysis was invented in the late 1800s. This method of removing hair used galvanic electrology, which was developed to target and kill the hair follicle at the root by inserting a thin, electrically charged metal probe into each pore.
Although electrolysis provides one of the easiest method of permanent hair removal, it still requires some post treatment care. Doctor-prescribed antiseptic lotions and antibacterial creams can often speed up your recovery while moisturizing and nourishing treated skin areas.
Unwanted facial or body hair can cause insecurity and discomfort. Electrolysis can restore your confidence. It's the only permanent solution for unwanted hair growth.
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal technique available. After regular treatments over an extended period, other methods may reduce or slow the rate of regrowth, but none of them remove hair permanently.
