The Community Pride Flag was designed by artist community creator Michael DeVellis and is rooted in the original 8-stripe flag design created by artist Gilbert Baker in 1978.

Evolved pride flag designs have been introduced over the years to more fully give representation to various q***r communities. The Community Pride Flag incorporates meaningful colors from many of those flag designs while creating a completely unique design, distributing the various shades of stripes in multiplicity and with a sense of equal representation for all of those they represent.
