Things I recommend to my makeup clients over and over again.

Because great makeup (and hair) usually starts before the makeup.

✨ Canopy shower filter: helps remove chlorine and other things in tap water that can irritate skin and hair. If your hair never feels really clean or it just doesn’t do what you want it to do, a shower filter is sooo helpful.
✨ Canopy humidifier: a lifesaver for dry indoor air (especially during heater season). This will help your skin (so much!) and your nose + throat. The canopy one is so great for preventing mold/mildew.
✨ Dieux Auracle + Forever Mask: my favorite for dry, crepey under-eyes. This eye cream has the best texture and is amazing under makeup. Paired with the forever mask, it’s an eco-friendly replacement for the eye patches and more effective.
✨ Violette_FR Boum Boum Milk: skincare + toner + moisturizer in one dreamy mist. this is amazing for sensitive skin and has incredible ingredients
✨ Dieux Instant Angel — one of my most-used moisturizers in my kit. It is super comforting and luxurious without being thick.

One thing that I have missed the most since working for myself is having coworkers. I made so many great friendships with coworkers and I loved seeing my coworkers regularly and being part of each other’s lives. It took me a while to develop relationships with other business owners and other artists to work with me. This is an area that I still need to grow in but I am super grateful for these two wacky goddessss. We have shared a studio space now for almost 10 years and we have lived so much life together during that time. We often collaborate and work together (especially on branding and bo***ir photography projects) but we are also just there supporting each other + helping each other build our businesses. 🥰 (Also, I should probably stop changing my hair all the time so it doesn’t look totally different in all of my photos…😬)
