This lovely little thing called Daffodil is coming to an end! My last day working as a hair stylist will be June 27, 2026. I’ve had carpal tunnel in both hands for 7 of my 9 years working as a hair stylist and it’s gotten to the point where I need surgery for both hands. My surgery is scheduled for June 30th. With my studio lease coming to an end in August, I’ve come to the decision that now is the time to step away from the chair. Booking for new guests is currently closed.

To any of you who have ever sat in my chair, thank you so much for giving me an incredible career as a hair stylist. So many of you followed me from salon to salon to salon, to the studio I’ve worked at for the last 4 years. Or you sent your friends, family members, and/or co-workers my way–these referrals are what a dream clientele is made of and you all gave me that! I have learned that I am most passionate about giving people a safe space to be themselves and escape from the pressures of the world, if only for a few hours every few months. When the hair was hard to do and my body wanted to give out from exhaustion, it was having the chance to lift people’s spirits that kept me going. There aren’t words to communicate how grateful I am to have had the chance to serve such an incredible group of people.

So what’s next for me? Of course, I’ve got to keep working with people even if I’m not doing their hair! I recently received a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate, which I’ll be using to pursue a career teaching English outside of the country. As of this moment, nothing is set in stone as to where or when I'd be moving, but I'm applying to English teaching positions in Europe and hoping to land something soon.

I've largely abandoned social media for the last 2 years and I haven't regretted it for a moment. I can't promise much more of a social media presence, but at the end of the month I plan to convert this account to private with the intention of keeping invested folks posted on where in the world I end up. Feel to unfollow me if you're only here for the hair of it all!

Let's keep it real! Send me a text, email, or hit me up in person to keep in touch!

Here's some tips to keep your in-salon style lasting a few days longer:

Be sure to come in with clean, prepped hair. For more details on what that means, check out my website.

Be sure to purchase my homecare that I suggest to you. I only carry professional, solid products that I know and trust, and using these products will sustain your hair health and style.

Protect your hair while you sleep. This could mean using a silk pillowcase, or using a silk bonnet, or even just doing a loose braid.

Get haircuts with me every 1 - 3 months if not sooner. Sustaining your hair shape overall will help to sustain your style as best as possible. The shorter you like your cut, the more often you should come in to redefine your style and shape. Even my longer-haired guests need to cut their hair 3 - 4 times a year to sustain their health and style.

If you have more questions, shoot me an email, [email protected]!

5 Words that best describe me:

Upbeat - You'll rarely see me without a smile on my face, not because I’m about toxic positivity, but because being around people lights me up!

Curious - I am a lifetime student and feel like this entire world was made for me to explore.

Adaptable - I like to go with the flow. When I stand in front of my dresser in the morning, my outfits choose me and when my hair says it's a ponytail kind of day, I always listen.

Trustworthy - My clients know they can tell me all the things and I'll listen, love, support but never share. Hair stylist/client confidentiality feels like it should be a real thing!

Talented - I say that not to be boastful but with full confidence in my ability to perform.

I am committed to sharpening my skills behind the chair by pursuing continuing education from other talented hair stylists and I'm proud to be respected as one of the top curl specialists here in Nashville.

Do you know that if you don't cut your hair every 12 weeks it will actually stop growing?

Okay, that was a lie, but you will experience some breakage, split ends, and, in some severe cases, even an accelerated hair shedding process all because your cut wasn't maintained.

It may feel counter-intuitive, but knocking those old ends off paves the way for healthy hair. Plus, freshly cut ends look thicker and fuller than wispy ends.

The secret to long hair is haircuts 3 - 4 times each year and in-salon conditioning treatments at every cut to prevent breakage.

Give your long locks the love they are so desperately craving!

You know how you count down the days to your hair appointment?

You can't wait to get your color retouched, get those fresh feeling ends again, maybe try something new?

I live for that feeling every single day. I know how much you look forward to the hour or two out of your day-to-day routine so that you can just focus on yourself for a moment in time.

I’m happy to be your happy place and will always work hard to be sure you're happy, relaxed, and sipping a fresh coffee at each and every appointment.

Some of the sweet treats my guests enjoy are:

🍪A snack basket just for you that I refill at the end of each service
☕Fresh coffee and tea
🍾A seasonal alcoholic beverage, currently Rose!
🧁Baked goods, currently mini cinnamon rolls and cupcakes
🌟A customized haircare plan

Cheers to happy places and good hair!

Do you know that mineral build up Is one of the top reasons your color and/or curls could be feeling dull?

We've got really hard water in Tennessee, so everyone is working with at least a little bit of mineral build-up.

A fresh color application might not be what you need for dull color....let's talk about hair-detox treatments next time you're In because this simple, low-cost solution might be the refresh you're looking for.

A hair detox takes 20 minutes, costs less than half the price of a color service and will help with your hair color, health, stylability and will ensure your hair care products are able to work as effectively as possible.

Check out my website to get a detox treatment on the books!

How would I describe my luxe brunettes...

💛Soft
💛Healthy
💛Natural
💛Bright in all the right places
💛Effortless
💛Seamless
💛Timeless

Are just a few of the words that come to mind. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to my color services and custom creating a color plan for each guest is what excites me each and every day I come into the studio.

Do you remember seeing that post going around about hair stylists offering silent services?

I know I reposted it to my story thinking it was a really great idea. What a great option for folks who’d just rather not be expected to chat the entire time during their appointment!

The thing is, no one ever tried to take me up on it, and eventually, I forgot that I had even offered it.

Recently, a new guest noticed that the setup of my studio lends itself perfectly to allowing a silent service. “Since you can just close the door here, you have a unique opportunity to help out folks with sensory issues or intense social anxiety!” I hadn’t really thought about it since I moved into this space, but she’s absolutely right!

So when I updated my website and restructured all of my services, I took this golden opportunity to add “Silent Service” as an option for guests to add on to any of their appointments!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a new guest or someone who’s been seeing me for years, if you book this option with your appointment, I’ll know to close the door, ask you what (if anything!) you’d like to listen to, and keep quiet while cutting and/or coloring your hair.

Craving a change but don't want to overcommit?

Friend, I've got you covered.

Maybe you’ve been getting root touch-ups to maintain your gorgeous brunette color but you’re ready to play with something new.

I can give you a brightening service that adds fun highlights right around your face for a noticeable pop of color that doesn't take over all of your hair.

The “Just a Little” service is a quick color appointment and budget-friendly version of a bang trim. You can use it to dip your toe into the world of brighter color or as a way to refresh your look between larger lightening appointments!

If you're ready to try something a little different, I can't wait to have a little fun and give your hair a little pop of sunshine!
