07.30.26 💍 10 year anniversary & vow renewals
📍The Inn at Bay Fortune, PEI
Eric Paul and I had the most magical day renewing our vows on our 10th wedding anniversary. It was intimate, just him and I, and although it didn’t quite go according to plan, it ended up being imperfectly perfect. 🤍
We planned to renew our vows on the beach, and I had a whole surprise beach picnic set up for Eric… and then it started DOWNPOURING. 😭🌧️ So there went those plans!
We were staying at the Fortune Bridge House at The Inn at Bay Fortune and doing the FireWorks Feast for dinner, so we headed there instead. We searched for an intimate spot for our ceremony, but the rain just wouldn’t let up.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, I had Cordial Picnics move our entire picnic into the sunroom of our room… and when we walked in, I couldn’t believe how perfect it was. 🥹
I had given them special pieces from our original wedding day to incorporate, wedding photos, decor and details from our reception. They recreated our reception table using both our grandmother’s china, and I surprised Eric with china from the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, where we had our wedding reception 10 years ago. 😭🤍
I also had O’S Mini Bakery make a mini replica of our original wedding cake, and it was genuinely one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had!
We had Marsha Weeks, PEI Officiant officiate our ceremony, where we did a fisherman’s knot and sand ceremony, read our personal vows to each other and exchanged new rings. 💍
The old Fortune Bridge House, horse stables, beautiful decor, vintage Bentley… it felt like something out of a movie. 😍
10 years of marriage, countless adventures, so many miles traveled, and getting to experience this crazy life together. I feel so lucky I found my soulmate so early in life and have gotten to grow up, chase dreams and build a life alongside my best friend.
Here’s to the next 10 years, Eric. 🤍
And the next 10 after that.
