As we keep an eye on the weather from hurricane “Isaias” we hope everyone in our community is staying safe, checking on their people, and taking the necessary precautions.

A few friendly reminders:

* Charge your phones and portable batteries.
* Keep water, nonperishable food, and essentials on hand.
* Secure outdoor furniture and bring in anything that could blow away.
* Follow local weather updates and emergency guidance. KNOW YOUR EVACUATION ZONE.
* Check on your neighbors, especially those who may need an extra hand.

We know our community always finds a way to show up for one another. If time and circumstances permit, we’ll be sharing local community relief resources and ways to help those who may need it.

Please take care of yourselves, your families, and your neighbors. Appointments and businesses can wait. Your safety comes first.

The county's public works department has sand available on a first-come, first-served basis at the following locations:

- The corner of Leisure Street and Citrus Drive in Navarre
- Tiger Point Park in Gulf Breeze (1370 Tiger Park Lane)
- Pace Fire-Rescue in Pace (4773 Pace Patriot Boulevard)
- The corner of Pine Forest Road and Carroll Road in Milton

Residents must provide their own sandbags and shovel. Bags can be purchased at many local hardware stores. For information on how to make and use sandbags, visit the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (www.flash.org). While sandbags can help mitigate to an extent, buying flood insurance is the best protection against flood loss.

Floods are the nation's most common and costly natural disaster and cause millions of dollars in damage every year. And get it sooner rather than later - flood insurance requires a 30-day waiting period.

🌀 HURRICANE PREP: DON’T FORGET YOUR A/C! 🌀

As you prepare your home for the storm, take a few minutes to protect your HVAC system too! 🦍

✅ Cool your home down a few degrees before the storm arrives.
✅ Clear away limbs, furniture & loose debris around your outdoor unit.
✅ If power begins flickering or going on and off, turn your A/C off at the thermostat and breaker to help protect it from power surges.
✅ After the storm, check your outdoor unit for damage or flooding before turning it back on.
✅Listen for abnormal sounds or operation after the storm, if anything inside or outside sounds irregular turn it off!

🚫 Never run an HVAC system that has been exposed to floodwater.
🚫Be aware! Local bridges close when winds exceed 35mph. Get somewhere safe early and stay off the roads if possible!

Most importantly — stay safe and never go outside during dangerous conditions to check your unit!

Prepare now, stay safe, we will be closed Friday but back at it again Saturday after the hurricane passes.

These services are FREE, and you must be comfortable being on camera. (Brazilian content will be filmed and photographed discreetly and professionally.)
Sessions will be 2–4 hours as we capture content, photos, and marketing material for something big coming soon.
All body types, skin tones, and personalities welcome.
