āœ‚ļø BARBERS — I’M LOOKING FOR YOU.
(Or Cosmologist/ Hairdresser well rounded in men’s cuts ready to train for shaving)

I’m looking to add licensed barbers to my shop in Neosho, MO, and I’m not looking for people to come sit around hoping clients walk through the door. We have clients. A LOT of them.

We’re getting calls, walk-ins, appointment requests, and referrals that I simply cannot keep up with by myself. I’m regularly having to turn people away because there aren’t enough licensed barbers available to take care of them.

That means if you’re a barber looking for a place where you can actually stay busy, build your clientele, make money, and grow, this could be a really good opportunity.

I’m especially interested in barbers who are:
• Licensed and ready to work
• Motivated to build a career, not just punch a clock
• Great with people
• Serious about their craft
• Looking for a shop where they can grow

And if you’re newer to the industry, don’t count yourself out. I’m willing to help the right barber develop their skills, clientele, and confidence behind the chair.

You don’t need to already know me.
You don’t need to have a huge clientele.
You just need to be good at what you do, willing to work, and the right fit for the shop.

If you’re a barber in the Neosho/Joplin/Seneca/Carthage area and you’ve been thinking about making a change — message me your portfolio/ resume🤟

I’d rather have a conversation and see if we’re a good fit than have you wonder whether you should’ve reached out.

🧔 ADHD AWARENESS MONTH 🧔

You don’t have to sit perfectly still, make small talk, or pretend you’re comfortable to get a haircut in my chair.

Need a fidget? Need a break? Need quiet instead of conversation? That’s okay. ā¤ļø

Sometimes the smallest accommodations make the biggest difference. A barbershop should be a place where you can show up as yourself without feeling judged for it.

You deserve to feel comfortable, not just leave looking good. āœ‚ļøšŸ«¶

Let’s talk about it: What’s one thing that would make getting a haircut easier or more comfortable for you?

šŸ‘‡ Drop it in the comments. You might help a barber understand something they never thought about before.

Share this with someone who needs the reminder that there’s nothing wrong with needing things a little differently. 🧔

If you’re a barber looking for a new opportunity, or you know someone who might be a great fit, my messages are open! No pressure — let’s talk and see if it’s the right fit. šŸ¤

šŸ’š World Mental Health Day | More Than a Barbershop šŸ’ˆ

For generations, barbershops have been more than a place to get a haircut. They’ve been a place where people come together, share stories, laugh, vent, talk about life, and sometimes sit quietly with someone who understands without ever needing an explanation.

Historically, barbershops have served as important community gathering places, where conversations happen naturally and people can feel a sense of belonging. Sometimes, the person sitting in your chair needs more than a haircut. They need someone to listen, a little kindness, or simply a space where they can be themselves without judgment.

And that’s something I believe should always be at the heart of this industry. ā¤ļø

You never know what someone is carrying when they walk through your door. The person who seems the happiest might be struggling the most. The person who barely speaks might just need to know they’re welcome. And sometimes, a simple conversation or a safe, comfortable environment can mean more than we realize.

That’s why I believe a barbershop should be a place for everyone and anyone. A place where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay, explain yourself, or be anything other than who you are.

As barbers, we may not be mental health professionals, and we can’t fix every problem someone brings through our doors. But we can listen. We can show compassion. We can create an environment where people feel seen, respected, and accepted.

This is especially close to my heart because I believe everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable in the barber’s chair, including those who experience anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or struggles that others may not see.

šŸ’š This World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that what we do goes beyond hair. It’s about people. It’s about connection. It’s about community.

Check on your people. Be kind to strangers. Listen without judgment. And never underestimate the difference you can make simply by making someone feel welcome.

Because sometimes, a haircut is just a haircut. And sometimes, it’s a little bit of connection in a world where someone really needs it.

Everyone deserves a seat in the chair. Everyone deserves to feel safe. Everyone deserves to belong. šŸ’ššŸ’ˆ

There’s something I want people to know about our shop:

You don’t have to be a certain kind of person to belong here.

You can dress however you dress.
Believe whatever you believe.
Come from anywhere.
Have different needs.
Be loud, quiet, nervous, talkative, particular, or somewhere in between.

You’re welcome here.

We’re not here to judge you. We’re here to cut your hair, take care of you, and give you an experience that makes you feel good about spending your hard-earned money with a local business.

Because at the end of the day, we’re grateful you chose our chair.

And now we’re looking for someone who understands that.

We’re hiring a barber or cosmetologist who doesn’t just want to cut hair — we want someone who knows how to hold space for people.

Someone kind. Patient. Respectful. Adaptable. Someone who understands that the person in their chair is more important than the haircut on the cape.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you.

Not every person experiences a haircut the same way. ā¤ļø

For some people, the noise, clippers, cape, lights, touching, or simply sitting in a busy barbershop can be overwhelming.

That’s why we offer sensory-friendly haircuts at Challes’ Old School Barbering. No judgment. No rushing. Breaks are okay. You can choose your cape, your environment, and what makes you comfortable.

Because everyone deserves a good haircut — and everyone deserves to feel safe getting one.

And honestly… we need another barber who believes that too.

We’re looking for a dedicated barber who wants to build a real career, grow their skills, take care of their clients, and be part of a shop that actually cares about the people sitting in our chairs.

If you’re the kind of barber who thinks a great haircut is about more than just the cut, we’d love to meet you.
