Myofascial massage therapy is a lifelong learning curve. Gaining this level 2 in John F Barnes Methods feels profound to me. The waters are clear now to go deeper into the fascia of the pelvis, after exploring the cranium, spine, pelvis, intra oral cavity and nervous system. As a teacher myself I can speak to the fact that always remaining a student is crucial. The collective wisdom in the room is inspiring, humbling and keeps the flame 🔥 burning when things can go stagnant. I am constantly amazed to hear of case studies and conditions that have been drastically improved with these gentle, yet powerful techniques. Regular hands on Myofascial Induction massage therapy can drastically improve the deeper facial structures.
The retaining ligaments create points of relative fixation while adjacent tissue descends or expands.
This contributes to characteristic boundaries such as the nasolabial fold and jowl.
You can see distinct boundaries in this case study of mine, of where the ligament have tethered down to the bone, creating the boundaries.
You can also see that the intersections is also where pigment can pool, or metabolic waste can become trapped.
Releasing these areas regularly can keep lymphatics moving and actually create space for the debris to clear-
