Every colored state represents a family I’ve had the opportunity to work with this year, and it’s pretty special seeing it all laid out like this.
No matter where you’re located, I’m here to help make the process feel a little less overwhelming.

A little work mixed in with a little family time. 🤍
Our family spent some time away in Emerald Isle, NC, but adoption consultations didn’t stop completely. I was able to sneak away for a bit, grab my laptop, and meet with a family who is taking the next steps in their adoption journey.
One of the things I love most about this work is being able to meet families wherever they are — even if I happen to be working with an ocean view that day. 🌊

“It’s really a leap of faith.”
That one sentence from a recent consultation has stuck with me.
Adoption comes with so many decisions, questions, unknowns, and emotions. You can review the medical information, talk through the risks and benefits, and gather every piece of information available; but at some point, there is still an element of trust in taking that next step.
My role is to help families feel as informed and prepared as possible before they do. 🤍

A quick NYC photo dump from a trip that blended learning, connection, and a little time to take in the city. 🗽
I’m always grateful for opportunities to be in spaces where adoption, child development, and family support are part of the conversation. There is so much value in continuing to learn, connect with others doing meaningful work, and bring that perspective back to the families I serve.
And of course, no trip to New York is complete without a walk through the city and a stop at Carlo’s Bake Shop. ✨

Today was an important day spent talking about autism. I had the honor to meet Kate Swenson after she gave an amazingly inspirational keynote address. Please check out her page and her book, Forever Boy. We can do better as healthcare providers. I promise to do better as a pediatrician and mom.
