Womenâs safety should never be an afterthought.
When a crime is committed, accountability and consequences need to be at the forefront. Violence against women cannot continue to be minimized, excused, overlooked, or treated as something women simply have to learn to navigate.
Women deserve to pursue an education, build careers, take up space, walk into public places, and simply exist without constantly calculating whether or not they are safe.
And while I cannot control what happens beyond my doors, I can be intentional about what happens within them.
Heal With Crys will continue to be a space where women can exhale. Where you can be vulnerable. Where you are seen, respected, cared for, and taken seriously.
I stand in solidarity with women. I stand for accountability. I stand for our right to feel safe.
