“Why did I make La Cream?” is a question I get asked a lot. ☀️

After fifteen years living in the U.S., I realized I was still looking for something I grew up with in France. Not a product exactly, an idea: the French pharmacy hero cream. One really good cream that could do it all.

As I was approaching 40, I wasn’t thinking about “anti-aging.” I was thinking about how I wanted my skin to age. How to correct what I could already see, while taking care of my skin for the years ahead. Aging with grace. The French way.

So I went back to what I know best: pharmacy and formulation.

I wanted the richness of the French pharmacy creams I grew up with, but without the heaviness. And I didn’t want a five-step routine around it: a vitamin C serum for brightness, a retinol for wrinkles, peptides for firmness, another serum for hydration.

I wanted one formula that could do it all.

It took me three years, 100 iterations, and very close work with some of the best R&D chemists I know in France. So many formulas were almost there, but not quite.

I was so picky that at one point, the head of R&D told me:
“This is not a beauty product, Natacha. This is the haute couture of skincare.”

La Cream became the cream I had spent fifteen years looking for. 🤍
