We’ve spent years talking about intimacy in the bedroom, but intimacy doesn’t start in the bedroom.
First, you have to create space for it to exist in your life. Deep connection and meaningful intimacy thrive when we feel rested, grounded, emotionally present, and connected to ourselves. The way we sleep, regulate our nervous systems, slow down, and reconnect with our bodies impacts the intimacy we experience with others. Because intimacy depends on more than attraction. It needs presence, energy, safety, softness, and connection.

Wellness and intimacy were never meant to be separate conversations.
We often think intimacy begins in the bedroom, but so much of it starts before that. It starts with how regulated our nervous system feels, our energy, how rested we are and within that how present we’re able to be with ourselves and each other.
Most of our lives keep us overstimulated all day long. We're always moving so fast and we're in a hurry, work long hours, scroll constantly. Then our sleep suffers and we wonder why we don’t feel connected. You can't fathom how anyone finds time for intimacy in the chaos.
When we are exhausted and stressed we don’t sleep or rest efficiently. That poor sleep and lack of rest, while also being stressed, affects intimacy. Because intimacy depends on emotional connection, energy, patience, softness, presence, and feeling safe enough in the body to slow down.
That’s why we’ve become so interested in the relationship between sleep, wellness, connection and our intimate lives. They all work together.
