The place for care and connection in the Lower East Side and beyond since 1898.

Hamilton-Madison House is a non-profit settlement house established in 1898 to improve the quality of life for NYC. Located in Chinatown/Lower East Side Two Bridges neighborhoods, we foster the well-being of vulnerable populations including the elderly, children, the ill and handicapped, new immigrants and refugees and the unemployed. Hamilton-Madison House delivers critical, timely and culturally appropriate services for all stages of life.

Thank you to all those who attended and supported our 46th Annual June Lee Chinatown Banquet! We had the pleasure of honoring the individuals who “Light the Way” for our community: NY-Presbyterian, the Potluck Club team, HMH volunteer Dorothy Kehl, and HMH Board Member Debra Thompson. Special shout out to MC Frances Wang for hosting the ceremony and DJ Kelee for lighting up the atmosphere! By coming together on this wonderful night, we celebrate the spirit of giving back as embodied by our honorees and June Lee herself. You can view the complete photo album on our Flickr linked in bio 🏮

HMH’s 11th Annual Golf Classic at Battleground Country Club was an overwhelming success! Our supporters showed up and showed out on the golf course on a perfectly sunny day. Afterwards, they enjoyed a delicious dinner, met sports icons, and won lottery prizes, including specialty golf bags and Mets tickets. Altogether, we raised over $130k, exceeding the amount from last year — a special thank you to our sponsors. These funds are crucial to maintaining our programs and services, and we are ever grateful for your support. See you on the green next year! ⛳

Eight tournament days. 75 young athletes. One powerful celebration of Peace and Unity!
For three years, we have proudly served as the lead sponsor of Hamilton-Madison House basketball tournament, helping provide uniforms, officials, and meaningful opportunities for young people from underserved communities and NYCHA developments across NYC.
Young athletes from different neighborhoods came together to compete, connect, and build confidence through teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
This is so much more than basketball. This is community in action, and we are thrilled to help make it possible!
