Watching this incredible tribute to L. Boogie makes me wish I had followed through with my initial thought to attend. I didn’t realize she would be honored—or that she would surprise everyone by taking the stage herself. Had I known, I definitely would have been there! I’ve always had so much respect for Lauryn Hill’s artistry, authenticity, and the impact she’s had on music and culture. Congratulations on receiving the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award—so incredibly well deserved. Every tribute performer was amazing, and I loved seeing some of her children perform. But seeing Queen Latifah, Nas, and Common take the stage… 🙌🏾👏🏾 What a moment! And when Lauryn herself stepped out and reminded us exactly why she’s a living legend… absolutely unforgettable.
