After almost 4 years since we transitioned to time based pricing, I am incredibly grateful to still be here. First, as a small business owner in New York City, and also as the person you’ve chosen to trust with some of the most important moments in your lives.

Some of you are new to the Beyond the Beard family, while others have been on this wild ride for its entirety and we have grown so much together. I look forward to taking care of you for many years to come. With that in mind, I have an important announcement to make:

$180 for 1 hour

If you have booked in advance, please note this price change will be effective. As a reminder, this will continue to be inclusive of gratuity and sales tax.

There are so many important causes in the world, and I may not be able to always effect the change I’d like to see in it, but that’s what galvanizes me to do what I can when I can.

Please consider donating to my fundraiser for that will allow me to travel to Jamaica next month to teach many school age boys the trade secrets of being a Barber.

These kids have mostly been left behind for the last 2+ years regarding any education and it is imperative to show them that they are supported. Trade-Works, the non-profit facilitating this program, pays for their tuition, clothing, food, and ensures they have the tools needed to pursue the trade of their choice.

🗣Let’s Talk Beards: Lines Matter!

Most folks don’t realize this but…the way you line up your beard can make a HUGE difference. Seems obvious, right? 👀

After many years and tons of trust, I offered to adjust Louis’ beard line. Was there anything “wrong” with how he did it before? Nope. Did it enhance his facial structure the best way possible? Also no.

Like many guys, Louis simply lined up his beard the way he thought easiest: following his jaw line.

However, if you swipe to the next photo, you can see that it was actually cutting his face “short” instead of enhancing it.

Reminder: NOT ALL BEARDS ARE MADE THE SAME! What works for Louis, may not work for your beard so don’t forget to always consult with your Barber for their professional opinion. 🙌🏼
