It’s no longer just, “Do you offer exosomes?” The better question is: “Where are they from, and how are they stored?”

As regenerative medicine continues to grow, so does the research, education, and patient awareness surrounding exosome therapies. Simply having “exosomes” on the treatment menu isn’t the differentiator it once was.

Two of the biggest variables to understand: source + storage.

Source determines the message. The cells exosomes come from influence the proteins, growth factors, lipids, and regulatory RNA they carry—and therefore the biological signals they deliver.

Storage protects the message. How exosomes are processed and preserved can impact the integrity and potency of that signaling cargo by the time it reaches the treatment room.

For hair restoration, EVO GRO™ was built with both in mind: human-derived, hair-specific signaling and frozen-fresh preservation.

The market is getting smarter. Patients are too.

Don’t just ask if it’s exosomes. Ask where they came from and what happened to them before they got to you.

Laser season is officially here ⚡️

And when providers are intentionally creating controlled injury in the skin, what happens after the treatment matters just as much as the treatment itself.

This split-face comparison shows the difference in visible recovery 24 hours after CoolPeel when EXO ELIXIR™ was applied topically post-laser!

Skin treatments deserve skin-specific signaling. ELIXIR is sourced from dermal fibroblasts—the cells responsible for building and maintaining the collagen, elastin, and extracellular matrix that give skin its structure. The source is already speaking skin’s language.

More laser season. Less looking like you had laser season.

There’s a reason these debates keep showing up in regenerative medicine: the details actually matter.

Where a biologic comes from, the biological age of that source, how consistently it can be characterized, how it’s processed, and how it’s preserved can all influence what ultimately makes it into the provider’s hands.

That’s why we care about more than what’s written on the front of the vial.

We care about the biology behind it.

And sometimes there isn’t a “winner.” Exosomes and stem cells are a perfect example. They’re fundamentally different regenerative tools with different mechanisms and different roles in a protocol.

The goal isn’t to pick a team. It’s to understand what you’re working with—and why you’re using it.

Know your source. Know your product. Know your protocol.

EXO ELIXIR, on ice. 🧊

Sourced from dermal fibroblasts, ELIXIR starts with cells native to the skin—cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and the extracellular matrix that gives skin its structure.

That skin-specific sourcing is intentional. So is keeping it frozen fresh.

By preserving ELIXIR in its frozen state rather than lyophilizing it for the shelf, we protect more of the signaling cargo providers are looking for when choosing to incorporate exosomes in regenerative therapies.

Skin-specific at the source. Frozen fresh to the treatment room.

Hair Loss Awareness Month is a good reminder that hair loss rarely has just one story.

Genetics, hormones, stress, weight loss, aging, nutrient deficiencies and medications can all influence the environment surrounding the follicle — which is exactly why regenerative hair restoration is becoming such an important conversation.

EVO GRO™ delivers 75 billion MSC-derived exosomes carrying regenerative signaling molecules and growth factors designed to support follicular activity and a healthier environment for hair growth.

Because when it comes to hair restoration, it’s not just about sending more signals. It’s about sending the right signal.

Lacerna doing what Lacerna does best — dropping some regenerative knowledge 🧬👩🏻‍⚕️👏

Shelf-stable sounds convenient. But when it comes to biologic signaling, convenience isn’t the goal.

Lyophilization requires exosomes to undergo a dehydration process before being reconstituted for use.

Research has reported losses in exosome yield following this process, with EVs experiencing changes to vesicle integrity and cargo along the way.

That’s why Dr. Lacerna chooses frozen, non-lyophilized exosomes — shipped on dry ice and transferred directly into her medical freezer until treatment.

For her, it comes down to one thing: preserving the biologic signal she intends to deliver.

Frozen fresh isn’t an inconvenience. It’s intentional 🧊❄️

Thanks for always bringing the science into the conversation, Dr. Lacerna 🤝

The source shapes the signal 🧬

Wharton’s jelly contains mesenchymal stromal cells within a supportive extracellular matrix and is studied for its extracellular signaling profile, including growth factors, cytokines, extracellular vesicles, and regulatory microRNAs.

Why does that matter? Because the age, type, and biologic environment of the source cells influences the signals they produce.

When we talk about age-zero sourcing at EVO BIO, this is what we mean.

Start young. Preserve the signal. Let biology do the talking.

The data is in 🔬

A 2025 systematic review analyzed 11 clinical studies involving 298 patients across multiple types of alopecia and exosome sources, evaluating outcomes including hair density, hair thickness, hair loss, and patient satisfaction.

In patients with androgenetic alopecia, one of the included studies using MSC-derived exosomes reported an increase in hair density from 96.5 → 163.5 hairs/cm² following treatment — approximately a 69% increase in hair density.

The research continues to build around MSC-derived exosomes as a promising regenerative approach to hair restoration 💪🧬

A remarkable improvement in the appearance of a 2nd-degree burn after just 4 days using EXO ELIXIR™ 🧬

Case details:
• Concern: 2nd degree laser burns
• Application: Topical
• Product: EXO ELIXIR™ (Dermal Fibroblast Exosomes)
• Time between photos: 4 days

Why dermal fibroblast exosomes?

Because fibroblasts are the primary cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and rebuilding the skin’s extracellular matrix.

EXO ELIXIR is sourced directly from dermal fibroblasts, delivering skin-specific biologic signals from the same cell type responsible for repairing and remodeling damaged skin.

The closer the signal is to the tissue you’re trying to support, the more biologically relevant that communication is.

🤝 Thank you to Nurse Crystal for sharing this incredible outcome and continuing to showcase the potential of regenerative medicine! Nurse Crystal✨Elite DR’s Medspa

And you take it to an even higher level when those exosomes come from dermal fibroblasts 🫰

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels and initiates your skin’s natural repair response.

EXO ELIXIR is sourced from dermal fibroblasts - the very cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and the extracellular matrix that gives skin its strength, structure, and resilience.

Instead of delivering a generic biologic signal, you’re introducing skin-specific communication from the cells you’re already trying to activate.

The source shapes the signal. The signal helps shape the result.
