Here’s some of my go-to adjustments when a look doesn’t pass the face test.

1. Play with the silhouette. It may be that it’s the shape of your top or bottom that feels off or not like you

2. Add a signature piece (something you’ve worn so much it feels like a part of you). Sometimes this can ground the look and make it yours.

3. Sprinkle in your color - could be from your palette or just one you love. (Comment ALLTHECOLORS if you want your digital expanded palette for inspo)

4. Add a piece that makes you feel something. Like if you’re feeling playful, sad, powerful, nostalgic - jewelry or an accessory that expresses or connects with that.

Even when I don’t land on a look I’m obsessed with, the practice of tweaking an outfit to be MORE LIKE ME helps me feel more in tune with my style and learn what I do and don’t like.

What makes an outfit feel like you?

If playing in your closet seems like too much work,

and you’re hesitant to make time for it because it seems trivial (and if you’re honest, a little scary) -

So you end up talking yourself out of it -

But then you see other women in outfits that feel “so them”, and you feel a tug again to find your style,

Here’s a lil nudge:

You will never regret stepping out in an outfit you feel vibrant and alive in,

but you MIGHT regret wearing safe, autopilot outfits that don’t feel like you for your whole 30s/40s/50s.

I’m no style expert but I have been playing in my closet the past 6 years, and have seen a lot of breakthroughs in my confidence that came from just trying different combos and seeing what made me smile and feel powerful.

You don’t have to change your body or wait for ________ to start playing with style.

Your color palette is a great place to start 🌈 because the colors will mix and match easily and bring out your features
