While our goals are universal, we are particularly focused on helping sustain those less fortunate who live in nutritionally-challenged areas or “urban food deserts,” where access to healthy foods and meals are often limited. Food in our lives is like a character with many faces. It gives us life, it makes us ill; it provides comfort, it gives us pain; it is our friend, it can be the enemy. It makes us strong, it makes us weak. With food playing such a complex role in our lives its no wonder why our relationship with it is constantly changing. We make food far more complex than it should be and rely on it for many other things that what its intended purpose if for to keep us alive and healthy.
