“What are you doing?! You need a REAL job!” my mother exclaimed. She, along with other friends and family, couldn’t understand my decision. I just moved to NYC and instead of looking for a job in my field of study, I decided to do the unfathomable - apply for Beauty School.⠀
⠀
Moving to New York was tough enough. Even though I have a double bachelors degree and experience working at TOP firms in Seattle, I knew I was done with Corporate America. I was ready to become a business owner! ⠀
⠀
But that meant going back to school. After going thru the humbling experience called Beauty School ☺️ and becoming certified with NY State Board, I opened the doors to my fully functional private hair studio! It has been such a rewarding path, and took every bit of my past knowledge and experience applied here to pull this off 🥂⠀
⠀
Becoming a business owner is so rewarding, and challenging! I love transforming women into a better version of themselves, reassuring them in their natural beauty, giving them confidence, and a caring ear for their concerns and troubles. Every bit of my new job I love ❤️ ⠀
⠀
But I need YOUR help! My business is still young, and I need help growing my audience. I’m taking another online class. I want to be better for you, because I am dependent on your satisfaction and emotions 🌹 Your smiles are my highest achievement ☺️ ⠀
⠀
So please help me with my homework 📚 I was tasked to get 100 story reposts ❤️ for your effort, I’m offering a chance to WIN 🎁 a Free Hair Spa Treatment & Blowout🎁⠀
⠀
Here’s how:⠀
⠀
1. Share this post to your stories (if you don’t know how, scroll thru the collage to see how)⠀
2. Tag me and mention “ is giving away a free gift for sharing! Click on this post to participate”⠀
3. Make sure your account is public so I can see your entry. If you have a private account, please DM me a screenshot of your repost for your entry :)⠀
⠀
I will announce the winner once I receive 100 reposts from you ❤️ and your friends! ⠀

Let’s talk ɬɛҳɬųཞɛ🌀⠀
⠀
When trying to achieve super smooth hair, most of us will do 2 things:⠀
■ Blow dry using high heat and lots of tension⠀
■ Flat iron on high temps with multiple passes⠀
⠀
While the intentions may be good, the fact of the matter is you’re causing DOUBLE TROUBLE! (High heat/high tension blowout + flat iron)⠀
⠀
DOUBLE TROUBLE = DOUBLE DAMAGE ➡️ BREAKAGE⠀
⠀
Using high heat and high tension in a textured hair blowout is ok if you do the following:⠀
🌱use heat protectant LIBERALLY⠀
🌱DO NOT use a flat iron after⠀
⠀
If you plan to flat iron your hair, opt for a minimum-tension blowout. Doing so minimizes the stress on the hair from two forms of heat application in one sitting, maximizing your heat protectant in action.⠀
⠀
Heat protectant can only protect your hair thru a limited number of passes of heat over it. The more tension & heat your apply during blow dry, the more you “use up” the power of the heat protectant, the less it will protect your hair during flat-ironing.⠀
⠀
Therefore, if you plan to flat iron, save your hair from DOUBLE TROUBLE by:⠀
🌱applying heat protectant LIBERALLY⠀
🌱using LOW tension during blowout⠀
🌱flat ironing on medium heat with multiple passes⠀
⠀
Pro tip: when blow drying textured hair, I focus on smoothing out the ends more than the roots. That way I can safely do multiple passes with the flat iron on the root area (which is virgin hair and has less cumulative damage to begin with) and light singular pass on the ends, causing less “double-damage” on already fragile hair.⠀
⠀
After toning & hair Botox service, I finished off the style with Leave-In Conditioner which nourishes, adds shine and protects from heat all in one bottle! Now available for purchase from my studio ❤️⠀

❌I can’t style my hair⠀
⠀
❌I don’t have time⠀
⠀
❌It’s easier to just tie a ponytail⠀
⠀
If you feel that way - don’t despair! The solution to your problem may be simpler than you think!⠀
⠀
Sometimes it’s not the length that’s the problem, it may just be the shape. As you can see in the example above, my guest complained about the flip her natural wave did at the bottom of her hair. She doesn’t want to spend a whole lot of time on styling or straightening it, and she didn’t want to lose a whole lot of length either. Little details like this can make or break your entire look!⠀
⠀
So I worked with her natural curl, re-shaping her style to easily flow from roots to ends. This shape allows her to wash-n-go with only 5-min styling with a round brush!⠀
⠀
As the holidays are approaching, treat yourself to a mini hair makeover. Even the slightest change can make a huge difference. Especially when you combine your service with a relaxing hair spa treatment from yours truly ❤️ 🎁 ask me how ✍️⠀

How do you pick the right one?⠀
⠀
I have A LOT of guests asking for ashy blonde. They show me the inspo picture, usually from google or Pinterest which have been filtered 50 times over, and say they want THAT color. Yes, the grayish-white nearly dead color. ⠀
⠀
But let’s leave the ashy trend for Halloween 🎃 ⠀
⠀
Your hair color should make you look healthy 🌱 not sick! Ashy tones are best worn by those who have cool 💙💚💜skin tone. But for the rest of us warm-toned ❤️🧡💛people, we need to choose the right kind of warm to complement our skin. Going for ashy hair on warm skin brings out impurities and clashes with our overall look. It looks fake & washes out quickly too. However, neutral to warm tones complement warm skin, making it look refreshing & youthful.⠀
⠀
Same thing goes for the depth of the color. Black hair color shows all your skin impurities, under-eye bags and discoloration. Lighter browns soften your look, while blondes can have the tendency to wash out your face.⠀
⠀
Choosing the right color & tone for yourself takes experience! And lots of practice. ⠀
⠀
❗️GAME TIME ❗️let’s practice seeing color together - swipe ⏩ through the photos in the carousel and let me know which shade 1,2,3,4 suits my skin tone best? And if your answer is neither, tell me why and suggest an alternative ☺️ Let me know in the comments below 👇🏼⠀

Dreaming of Pinterest-worthy hair? Perfectly blended and perfectly blonde? Well I got new for you - it’s possible and it’s here in NYC 🌃⠀
⠀
(my favorite go-to technique) was created by the talented & famous Russian hairdresser ⠀
⠀
This technique does take longer than traditional highlights and balayage, but it’s soooo worth it! The blend it creates is so seamless, and the grow out is much softer. It looks best on hair that is shoulder length or longer, naturally medium brown to medium blonde, and can worn any way you like - straight or wavy! Touch ups can be done as often as every 6-12 months - meaning less maintenance and more $$ in your pocket.⠀
⠀
💰SPECIAL OFFER: Reserve your appointment for the month of November and receive a 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓻𝔂 Nourishing Hair Spa treatment with your service 🌱 Reservations must be placed on or before Election Day 🇺🇸(Nov. 3rd) to redeem this offer.⠀

She always wanted to be blonde. Every stylist she tried couldn’t get here there. Her hair suffered as a result, and just by opening up her parietal area you can see her whole color history by bands (swipe ▶️ for before photos)⠀
⠀
Taking her to a healthier, “blonder” blonde took several sessions. But the key 🔑 is that she stuck with me and didn’t go somewhere else. Now that her canvass is evened out, all we got to do is maintain those roots and we NEVER touch the previously lightened blonde. EVER.⠀
⠀
I detox her length every time she comes in WITHOUT BLEACH. Yes, there are other substances out there that remove minerals, product buildup, tone brass and moisturize 😉 her hair is extremely porous so we use bleach with extreme caution.⠀
⠀
Pictured above is a back-to-back baby light partial. We decided the best way to minimize damage is to alternate our appointments between full head (roots only, all over her head) and partial (roots only, crown & hairline) highlights every other time. ⠀
⠀
Now she’s a happy, healthy bombshell blonde 👱🏼‍♀️ ⠀
