My eyes have been GLUED to my computer the last two weeks leading up to fashion week but i wanted to take a moment to reflect and possibly inspire. Casey Niestat who's by far my favorite vlogger/filmmaker EVER made me realized today how important it is to trust yourself and your passion. When I moved to new york in 2015 to become a fashion event coordinator i had no idea how i was going to make my dreams a reality. I worked in events for two years, started freelance styling the last year and FINALLY this year, this fashion week- i got the schedule that I HAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF. I wasn't completely out of touch of what i wanted to do but i did have my doubts. I always had an on goal on what i wanted to do and what type of impact i wanted to make and trust me i've had a lot of people telling me no along the way but i always found myself pursing no matter what because i know deep down what i want to do (its a gut feeling).here are a few things that i can promise you that will never fail when chasing your dreams; having a powerful and encouraging team is the most important thing. and when i say team i mean friends and mentors and family. When you get into a doubt and life happens and you lose yourself you're going to need to turn to people who know you and your potential, who believe in you and your dreams. i have a group of people in my life who have been through thick and thin with me and without them i wouldn't be where i am today. i promise you that. I look at my gfs who are also pursing their dreams Sherica Holmon Kristen Priya Jasmyn Bennett Danielle L. Rowett and constantly inspiring me EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have friends who can read my mind and can always tell me whats up when i'm fu***ng up Eve Eidorb Jordan Schoen i have an amazing grandmother who wtf! are you a human?! you're so perfect Katherine Sakamoto she started a non profit that will change lives. a mother who is my backbone Nancy Smith and mentors like Kristina Cubero and Christopher Lee WITHOUT THESE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE I WOULDNT BE WHERE I AM TODAY. I trust them with my goals and my dreams because i know that they want the best for me. Trusting the process- this simply means HAVE FAITH. Nothing you really want is ever easy, and it takes time. Get used to rejection because its going to happen but know that means that something bigger and better will come your way. The right door will open, keep knocking on them. and finally- focus on the positives, be present and grateful MEDITATION HELPS Chasing your dreams will take a lot of work but don't forget to celebrate the small victories! HEY GUYS, I JUST GOT A NEW PAIR OF BOOTS! I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THEM. ALSO AFTER NYFW I'VE NOTICED THERE IS A LATEX TREND HAPPENING! HERE'S HOW TO CARE YOUR NEW PIECES.
-Wash with hand warm water, put one or two drops of mild baby shampoo in and wash latex.
Rinse with fresh water to get rid of remaining shampoo. A double rinse and some silicone oil and let dry out of sunlight.
-WATER BASED silicone oil only. Put a little amount on your hands and rub slightly into the latex.
TO ENHANCE the shine on latex, spray with Super Shiner Silicone Spray. NO OIL BASED PRODUCTS. Allow the product to sit in before ware.

FAUX CARE
Most faux fur is washable but make sure to the read care label before throwing it into the wash. Turn inside out, gentle wash cycle with cold water. No heat when drying! Fluff cycle only! Brush the faux fur properly. Use a soft-bristled clothing brush to remove debris and smooth the fabric. Hard-bristled brushes can damage both the lining and fabric of the faux fur. Brush along with the grain of the material to prevent bunching and fiber removal. Brush weekly to maintain fabric sheen and prevent buildup of debris.

DENIM CARE
Wash in cold water, inside out. This will help perseve the color and expose the inside of your jeans where your skin oils have built up. Dry flat or hang dry for best results.
Fun Tip- Want to kill the funky bacteria without the wash? Fold and place in a ziploc bag and freeze over night. Thaw before wear.

LEATHER CONDITIONER > LEATHER PROTECTOR.
Leather protector will help however, the leather on your sneakers will eventually dry out (and potentially crack!) in cold weather. Leather conditioner such as mink oil will prevent wear and weather damage. Apply a thin layer once a week for the best results. Another tip: never allow any slush or snow to dry on your shoes, otherwise you’re essentially asking for salt stains. Dab it away the minute you step inside
