Ooh la la! We love that Stephanie A. is planning to use her $1000 winnings on a trip to Paris. Bring us back a croissant, perhaps? TAG a friend who needs some travel funds.

Name: Summer
Age: 30
Location: Portland
Occupation: Photographer/Creative Director
Current Salary: 60,000
Rent: $1400
Date: 1/23

10:00am: I live in the city so I always commute to my studio, photoshoots, etc. So I usually buy a day pass for the TriMet. The Tri is the Portland version of the subway: $5

11:00am: Stopped by local shop to get beverages to wake me up because I had a long night of binge watching “You” on Netflix: $6

2:00pm: As a photographer/creative director, I usually style my shoots or gather garments for the vibe I want from boutiques or designers in Portland. I have become business partners with these amazing people and they lend me these items for free or at a discount. Today’s stop is a local designer boutique that I work with a lot. For my photoshoots I pulled items that would cost $300, but were free because I will be returning them. However, I have an event Saturday evening and need a new outfit, so I purchased a Gucci blouse and Dolce & Gabbana bustier. They give me a discount so it only cost me $250 (I know, crazy right?): $250

6:00 pm: After a long day of working in my studio and starving, I order pasta from Postmates when I get home: $15

11:00pm: I have a Superbowl photoshoot coming up that I’m modeling for, so I need a new New England Patriots jersey: $100

Total: $376.00

👋Name: Taylor
💎Age: 25
💰Splurge: Kettle Chips and Health-Ade Kombucha
💸Story: Truly, my greatest splurge this week was simply chips and kombucha. It’s the little things that brighten my day. Currently I’m in the process of saving for my new house in Los Angeles, so no big splurges for me. The two items are kind of contradicting, but they were both organic and GMO-free, so I feel good about it. Chips in the evening while I watch re-runs of “The Vampire Diaries” and Kombucha to make me feel like I’m exceeding in my health regimen. Did I mention, I spurge on these items every time I make my way to Whole Foods? Which is about 3-4 times a week, heh.
💳Final Price: 3.59 + 3.99 = 7.58

The $46 is adjusted for inflation, and the $3,300 is the lowest price for a ticket in 2019 😅

8:30 am - After some mental preparation for the brutally cold weather, I embark on the 10-minute walk to the metro station. I pay the $2.10 fare using my metrocard, which I add money to on a monthly basis. -$2.10

10:30 am - Following some serious stomach growling during my 9:30 conference call, I head downstairs to the corner store for a chocolate chip CLIF Bar. (My second favorite, after white chocolate macadamia). - $1.99

1:00 pm - I hear through the grapevine that there are salads and sandwiches in the kitchen, left over from a client meeting. Knowing that leftover food goes quickly in my office, I quickly snag a turkey sandwich and side salad. - $0

5:30 pm - I hit "send" on that last email, which concludes my semi-stressful workday. I swipe my metrocard once more to head back to Arlington. - $2.10

5:50 pm - On the way to my apartment, I stop at CVS Pharmacy to restock a few toiletries that I can't go long without: makeup remover and face wash (both Larocheposay), and Secret. I also grab a few boxes of low-sugar Quaker oatmeal, my go-to breakfast. -33.42

7:00 pm - After catching up with my roommate for a bit, I head to my apartment's gym for some HIIT and abs. Love avoiding that overpriced membership. -$0.

8:00 pm - Time to replenish with rice pilaf, sauteed kale, cooked broccoli, and zoodles - all courtesy of last week's AmazonFresh delivery! -$0

Total: $39.61

How nice would it be to get a two-hour delay for work like the kids do for school? Would you stay cuddled in bed or go outside and build a snowman?
