AT LEAST once a day I have this thought 💭

It’s how CRAZY grateful I am that I prioritized having coaches over the last decade.
I’m certain I would not be a functional human right now had I not.

When you have a good coach you’ll look at your unhealthy patterns that are hurting you and are hurting the people you love (+your career, your body, everything) and remove them from your life.

You will create beliefs about yourself and about life that will end up being the reason you’re in such a good place, despite whatever life throws at you.
My beliefs about myself and about life have CARRIED me these last two years, the hardest years of my life.
My beliefs went to a WHOLE other level when I gave my life to Jesus and began learning about my identity in Him and the lavish love He has for me (and for you).
My worth and value went to new heights.

I would actually be a mess of a human with really damaging beliefs about my current life and the rest of my life right now. I would be deeply depressed and can see myself not wanting to be here anymore.

I know who I was and how easy it was to break me.
I know how much value I placed on others to make me happy and give my life purpose.

I’m still processing what happened all the time and I’ll never not miss Joshua.
But I can function.
And not just function, have EXCITEMENT for my life and what’s ahead.
I’m adventurously expectant of what God has in store for the kids and I.

And although I carry a permanent hole inside of me where Joshua was I’m still a happy person.
I’m still enjoying my life.
I’m still able to love others and receive their love.
I feel more alive every day.

Thank God I chose to hire coaches and mentors.
Thank God I got brave and spent the little money I had to get that support.
Thank God I prioritized renewing my mind, my thoughts, my beliefs and my patterns.
I would be in a really scary place right now had I not.
The choice to hire coaches did in fact end up saving my life.

Before I ever knew Fries and Yay, I knew I was investing in the lives of my kids and their future by investing in fixing my own thought patterns and mindset...

I bet you have things you ask for that you do.
And things that you ask for that you don’t.

When it comes to your health, weight, body - do you?

𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁.
I prayed for it and I wanted it.
But deep down I didn’t think I was actually going to get it.
I thought He would think I’m vain for wanting that.
I thought He was judging me for thinking it.
How funny that we spend time asking for things we feel wrong for wanting.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗼𝗱.
Before I spent time getting to know His character.

It’s a bunch of little thoughts like this that made it really hard for me to feel better in my body, let go of extra weight, take away the bloating, have more energy, feel lighter and more free.

Sometimes things (and thoughts) have to change for you to believe that your prayers will be answered.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing inside of my new course.

I thought God’s love depended on my performance.
I thought human love depended on my performance.
Because of that I did a WHOLE lot more than I needed to.

ESPECIALLY around my body and how I felt in it.
I put a lot of stress on myself that left me exhausted wayyyyy more than necessary.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
𝗛𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺.

Nearness is the goal,
not performance.

What a massive change in mindset.

The arena where HE renews your mind.
Changes your thoughts.
Just from being in proximity of Him.

Massive positive change takes place in body, mind, soul and spirit from that.

Programming from the past, untrue beliefs, stories in my mind about “how it all works” based off what we all learned about our bodies growing up from magazines, movies, music, EVERYTHING had to go.

There is a ‘I have to do this myself’ mentality were all taught about our bodies.
A ‘do it on my own’ ‘push through the pain’ ‘sacrifice, struggle, force’ thought process that needed to be undone.

I spent a lot of time finding and changing these things.
I put it together in a course for you so that you don’t have to go on a search like I did.

This year tried to ruin our family.

It tried to take down 3 powerful people charging forward for the Kingdom of God.

After Josh went to be with Jesus the kids and I experienced attacks from every angle. Heavy depression, unexplainable sickness-pain-allergic reactions, intrusive thoughts, food addiction for me, anger, emotions too big to handle and on and on.

Cancer took Josh from us. Evil is so rampant in our world that horrible things like that happen to amazing people and great families.

Which gives me a serious fire every day to do my part to be more like Jesus and teach my kids to do the same. To do our part to ripple more good into a world that REALLY needs it. To help drown out evil so other families never have to experience what we did.

Evil would like to see a powerful family of 4 get ripped into 3 and from 3 completely fall apart and break into too many mangled pieces to repair. Sinking into a pit of pain, that takes over our entire life, and doesn’t let us ever get beyond average.

To be too broken forever to charge forward for the kingdom of God.

Not my family.
Not ever.

We get back up despite a piece of our world missing.

Broken AND brave.

We have a God who hears us, comforts us, protects us, provides for us and restores us.

Because of Him we mend.🙏
Our hearts able to love again.

Still lots of tears and pain.

But the kind of pain that inspires us

Three lives lived to the fullest,
in every sense of the phrase,
despite unimaginable tragedy.

I’ve been in a BATTLE this year.
Fighting for my family’s future with every meal choice, word choice, choice on how to use mine and the kids time, life decisions - both big and small. And I’ve never once been alone. I’ve had my 4th man in the fire who’s never left my side. 🥰🙏😭 And together we’ve been rebuilding something truly extraordinary in this family. 💕

One of the hardest things I’ve EVER faced has been showing up for my kids after Josh died.

I was in excruciating pain.
Consumed in grief.
Processing the most incomprehensible pain of my life.
And there were little Fries and Yay.
5 and 2 yrs old.
Such a tender age.
Hurting in a way only someone who has lost a parent that they love can know.
Just lost their daddy.
Really needing their mom.
More than ever.

Needing more of my attention than ever.
Needing more of my time than ever.
Needing more of my love than ever.

While I had less attention span, less time and less love to give than ever.

Dealing with this feeling as a mom of being torn was one of the most excruciating things.

This was a make or break moment in time where if I become consumed in depression, pain and grief they not only lose one, but both parents. How unfair. Yet I have an empty cup and nothing to give.

It would have been too easy to neglect them.

And push them aside as I experienced more pain than I knew how to handle.

Because in your own greatest pain of your life, to have to be someone, or two people’s, or multiple people’s everything - that’s the hardest thing ever.

I prayed and cried so many days for help to have the strength to be there for Fries and Yay.
To keep showing up for them.
To keep holding space for them.
To keep crying with them.
To keep holding them when I wanted to be held.
To have the energy to play with them like they wanted when I was so weary and exhausted.
To keep loving them when the love I knew for 12+ years felt like it was robbed.

God heard every single prayer. And God is the ONLY reason I could be a good Mom this year. He sustained me. He held me so I could hold them. He let me feel His love so that I could love them. He fed me so I could get up from the pain and feed them. He wiped my tears and gave me strength to get up for me and for them. ❤️

God is the only reason I’ve had joy in my life this year. Without Him I was shut down, unable to feel.

So on Mother’s Day today I want to celebrate how I showed up for my kids.
Because this year tried to take me down.
This year tried to take me away from my kids.
This year tried to ruin our family.
And through the grace of God and a choice to remain so close to him, I have grown closer to them than ever. We are a solid, strong family full of love and joy and faith. We are coming out of this better.

I am so proud of the Mom I’ve been for them. If you knew what strength it took to be able to say that you would be crying with me right now.

Only God can do miracles like that. Only God can give us strength and joy and peace in the pain like that.
